The same question could be asked about all of the politicians running for election or re-election in any administration, when campaigning season rolls around

Who is running the country? I presume they do have communications equiptment on the plane.

Then there is Dan Quayle's son who used his brother's kids in a political ad to make it look like he had a family. It is just a crazy year in politics or maybe I should say a crazier than usual year. There has been the good, the bad and the just plain weird pretty much everywhere.

Who's running while he is there?

Personally, I'm more concerned about the 48,000 (24,000 per plane, and there is always a second one in the air when air force one is in flight to act as a decoy)pounds of fuel we pay for each time the Chief of Campaigning takes off to help save the democrats.

My opinion will remain the same from now until I die. Having a president campaign for someone other than himself is pure conflict of interest, abuse of government property (that plane belongs to us for his official use, and not him to "rent out"), and his constant barrage of telling the American public that voting for one party or another is in their best interest is a form of mild voter intimidation. I think the American people can make up their own minds thank you very much.

Now that said... if the jackass wanted to announce that every vote counts (it doesn't, I have worked on the voting machines) and that everyone should make an effort to do their part, then I see nothing wrong with that. But that could easily be done for much cheaper on the radio and TV.
