The election is less than a week away, and some experts have Republicans picking up anywhere as much as 75 U.S. House seats, and 8-9 U.S.Senate seats.

My guess is I'm sure we;re going to pick up anywhere from 55-65 seats in the house, and at least 8 in the senate. Love to pick up 10 senate seats, but we shall see.

For all you into politics, and this upcoming election, what are your predictions for how many house seats, and senate seats that us Republicans will pick up.

It might as well count, seems that's where all the political ads this year has come from.

I think Republicans will gain enough seats to slow down a lot of the spending that's been going on. Numbers? I don't even try guessing on those. But I do know that people are not happy with where the country is now.....and as history shows, whichever party is in control when things are bad, is the party who gets "the boot" when election time comes around.

In 08, voters were mad at the Bush Administration...so, Democrats got control of Congress and the White House. Fast forward 2 years, economy is still shaky, the national debt is high, voters feel nothing is better, and...so the Democrats are blamed, so, Republicans will make some gains on November 2. Whether they gain control of either house is up in the air.....

I agree with ^^her^^. I see two years of political grid lock with increased polarization.

I think that the republicans will make some gains this time and when things end up in gridlock and nothing gets done for two years or they start trying to mess with the constitution and things like Roe vs Wade things will swing back towards the democrats in 2012 in time for the presidental election.

Problem is people have the fast food mentality in this country. They want an instant fix to everything. And none of them want to take any responsibility for their part in the mess the country is in. No one told people to go out and buy homes they could not afford. No one told them to put all their eggs in one basket with investments. They did all that on their own. I do think any company that ships jobs overseas should be charged a high tariff for anything they sell back to this country. We did not get ourselves in the mess overnight and what made anyone think it was going to be fixed in two years with people trying to block everything that would have made things better just for political gains. Coming out of a recession or a deprssion is not overnight. Just ask the generation that lived through the great depression.

Until people step up to the plate and put ideas to work instead of just blaming the politicians and bitching about everything nothing is going to get better anyway. If they want to see who needs to help fix things they need to go look in the mirror.

I think there is an angry mob out there this election and nothing is going to be accomplished until they calm down and start thinking in a reasonable manner.
