Looks like the Texas Rangers had no problem handling the New York Yankees late last week, as Texas moves on to play the San Francisco Giants in the best of 7 series starting tomorrow night.
Hard to believe San Fran. handled Philly rather easily in their series.
Anyway, does anyone have any bets riding on this series between the two teams? If so, how much?
And for those of you who hasn't bet on this series, who are you wanting to win, and why?
For me, I'm rooting for the San Francisco Giants because I always pull for the national league team.
But then, if Texas does pull out their very first World Series win, I wouldn't be at all disappointed either. So it's like a win-win for me anyway.

As long as Philly got their asses kicked, I'm happy!

No reason Texas shouldn't destroy SF in this series

I usually pull for the national league if my Red Sox aren't in the World Series (which we all know isn't to often).
But this year I'm going with the Rangers, it would be nice for them to get their first World Series win.

Of course, I want the Rangers to take it. But I am happy for those in San Francisco also as that city has never had a World Series champion. I am not into wagering.

That just makes it all even sweeter!

I expect for Hank to dictate that a few small changes are made by Brian Cashman... is that name an appropriate name for the Yankees GM or what!!!

Damn, now what I expected. I thought the over under for game one would be less than four. As my old friend Gomer used to say, "Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!"
Anyway our three sports talk radio stations are understandably all over the World Series. When I was in the car on my way to vote early (hint, hint) one station was interviewing the Giants third base coach, Tim Flannery. Flannery has been in the World Series as a player and coach for the San DIego Padres. But
he is also a recording artist.
He has several albums out and has played in the bands of Santana, Willie Nelson, and Bruce Hornsby. I found that to be very interesting,
We'll see if the Fox team of Buck/McCarver pick up on it. BTW, he more or less, said that he never knows what Giant team will show up. It was a stellar interview.
