I'll start with the embarrassing news in the NFL football world today.

My Bengals lost to Cleveland this afternoon, 23-20. I'm very embarrassed for my Bengals right now. But I will say, my Bengals have some problems with our quarterback and offensive line. Not sure what's going on with our quarterback (Carson). In addition to being embarrassed for my team, I'm also disgusted with missed opportunities and how we have played so far this year. That loss today drops my Bengals to a .500 record of 2-2.

Now, on with baseball.

My Reds won our last regular season game today over Milwaukee 3-2. That puts our record at 91-71, 20 games over .500. We're going to be meeting Philly in the first round of playoffs this week. Philly is a tough team, and I think my Reds are going to be lucky to win the best of 5 against team. It can be done, but it's one tall order.

I'm rooting for both San Diego and San Fran. to make it in the playoffs as well.

Love to see the Yankees pull out a win over Boston today, and hope they win their division over Tampa Bay. I'm still hoping for my Reds to meet the Yankees in the World series!

Feel free to talk about how your team did today in football. And if you still have a team that you're rooting for in baseball, or actually do have a team that's made the playoffs this year, feel free to talk about that too.

Looks like a lot of people on here are still tied up watching all the sports today.

Naw, Carson seemed to do OK today. The blocked field goal turned out to be deadly,
as was the pass interference by Ochocinco (which immediately preceded Carson's
last sack). The pentalty/sack combo also took them out of field goal range!

Who woulda thunk it, at the end of last season?!? Making it to the World Series would
be great, but it's nice just to be in post season contention again, after fifteen years!

The only time I bet on Cleveland is when they play the Bengals and they rarely let me down.

I was just laughing about that. Of course, my team, the 49ers, fell to 0-4, losing at the end to the Falcons. Many, including myself, figured they would be a sure bet for the playoffs (albeit one and done due to a weak division). I can't figure them out. They lost two heartbreakers at the end to good teams and then got their ass blown out against a pair of stinkers.

Love to see the Yankees pull out a win over Boston today, and hope they win their division over Tampa Bay.

Sorry the Yanks are the wild card. So in the AL, the first round match ups are Rays/Rangers and Twins/Yankees. The NL is too convoluted to call until the Giants/Padres game is over. It is entirely possible that there are games on both Monday and Tuesday to sort the playoffs out depending on the outcome of that game.

Okay, it is set. Your Reds get the Braves, and it is the Phillies taking on the Giants. All of the NFL games we got to see were close finishes (the Cowboys have a bye): The Steelers/Ravens, Saints/Panthers, and Eagles/Redskins were all entertaining. Congratulations, Pink! We roll on to the Giants/Bears tonight, go Giants! It's been a good day for TV for me!

You've got that backwards, Bruce. Philly having the best N.L. record will be facing us since San Fran. has a better record than us by one game. Atlanta having the wild card (and a wild card team cannot play the same divisional team they're in with) leaves them taking on San Fran.

I'm hoping for a lady wearing her Bears shirt, interested in watching any football game, to sit on my lap!

My team, the Patriots didn't play until last night. They blew the Dolphins away (41-14) and Brady only threw for 159 yards, special teams and defense stepped up big for us. The Pats have a bye this week but I'm sure there will be plenty of good games to watch.

As for baseball, I'm a Red Sox fan, I was a little disappointed in them this year. Although they did have a lot of injuries to try and overcome. Oh well, next year. I am however pulling for the Reds to win it all, obviously I would like to see the Twins or Rangers play the Reds in the World Series rather than the Yankees or Rays .

Rangers beat Rays, 5-1 in game one. Happy hooting for this guy and other fans of a historically forlorn franchise!

Well, my Rangers won their second playoff game today in their history, albeit a forlorn legacy. Now what what happened in the :river city"; ummm...a loss to the Browns on Sunday and entering history as the victim of a no-no this evening in the playoffs. I love watching history!
