What is going on in this country that bed bugs are running so rampant?!?!?! Hell I'm afraid to go to a hotel, go to anyone elses house or have anyone at my house!!!! It's crazy!! They are everywhere and they say it's only going to get worse....  I seen on the news tonight that even UT Medical Center is having a problem with them! Seems to be worse than a lice epidemic!!
Has anyone here had a problem with them? Are there places where you live that have been infested with them?
I'm freaked out by this shit!!!

Seems like channel 5 (WLWT, NBC...Cincinnati) news here does stories on this topic alot over the past 18 months.
As for me, I have never seen these bugs up close or in person. I certainly don't want this problem.

Nope...no news about bed bugs here!! TG! 
I'm headed to Pittsburgh on Sunday...I'll be Sure to check the bed/room close!! Fuck that! It would suck...to bring those bastids home!

I ain't goin! And he probably won't be allowed here anymore either!! Fleas are one thing with DOGS but bed bugs are just..............well.. different!

Hey now!!! I work at a hotel...and I can tell ya...last sweep over for bed bugs...the hotel came out CLEAN!
Actually, when this story started breaking out, we had a meeting at work about it. A representative from Rose Pest Control showed us how to look for signs of the bed bugs, and what it takes to get rid of them. And, part of the reason for the "running so rampant" is that DDT is banned in the U.S. Years ago when it was being used, it almost wiped out the bed bug population...but since it's banning, these nasty little critters have been repopulating. Also, with today's travelers, some have "hitched a ride" from other countries also.
Where I work, we've been aggressive in watching for signs of them, and, if ever they are spotted, they will be dealt with. This Rose has an agreement with some company that uses dogs that can sniff bed bugs out..and our hotel last week had the dogs go through all the rooms, and they didn't find anything.
Best advice I'll give anyone staying at a hotel...do NOT put your luggage on the beds, dressers, and especially the floor. Use the luggage racks instead. Signs of them can be found behind headboards, inside corners of dressers and nightstands, and if you see a bunch of black spots kinda looking like a mold on corners of box springs...that might be an indication of bed bugs.
See? I pay attention.....sometimes.

Yeah been hearing about this also...
What they are saying when they took away that nice wonder chemical DTT that keeps most bugs in check was the only one that worked on them.. now we are stuck with the nasty things.. YUCKY!!!!!!

Yeah,, bedbugs are found in apartment buildings, like where my mom was staying.
After doing some research, I found the best thing is birth control for those nasty little bugs. Hey,, this is a sex site isn;t it? So let me tell you about safe sex practices for bed bugs.
It is a real bitch getting those tiny condoms on them, let me tell you....
Ok seriously, there is some stuff called GENTROL, an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR). Some little slow acting plastic thingies with GENTROL in the corner of the room , discreetly hidden under furniture and problem solved. Just replcae them every couple of months.
