is this police business or not....

we have lots of problems in this world, is this something we should vocus on??

City officials in Dublin, Georgia say they're tired of saggy pants, so they will slap you with a fine if your wearing pants or skirts that expose your underwear. $25 for the first offense and up to $200 dollars for each additional offense. What do you think?

Just being creative in ways to come up with money I would imagine! I don't see that 'fad' as much as I used anymore!

I think that the cops are targeting plumbers.

to be very honest, i grew up in the70's so I know all about bad fashion, but the big pants, and pants worn half way down the rear has to win a prize for ugly!

Here, in Memphis the kids can't show up in court with their ass hangin out or they get fined. Out on the street they don't. If it was a fad, it still is here. I see it all the time. On the way to work yesterday a kid..oh, say 19 or so was walking down the street with one little hand holding the front of his pants up and his ass hangin out the back and his other arm holding a bag of something...he looked like a weee little tyke holding his wee wee thru his diapers.... I guess they don't see it like that...bit maybe someday when they look back they will realize how stupid it looks...oh yeah...he had a belt on...what was the point of that???

I don't like being in line behind some kid whose undies are hanging out cuz the waist of his jeans is halfway down to his knees!
But....to each his own! I hardly think that saggy pants is a "fineable" offense. Now, if his junk was out.....that I could understand! LOL

If I was one of these kids Mother's, I wouldn't let my son where his pants hanging so low his ass was sticking out. I think it is rude and uneceptable. I don't like when the girls have jeans on so low that I can see the crack of their ass when they are sitting down...that is rude too. You can be stylish without being ridiculous...

so many things are "just wrong" about this....kids shouldnt be having to show up in court...and they should have some type of adult to guide them on what is approaicte to wear to court....

I remember all of the BS I had to put up with in the late sixties and seventies about the hippy look. So regardless of what I think it looks like, this nation does have freedoms and the "establishment" needs to back off and find something more important to focus on. All it does is clog the courts, divert law enforcement from more important areas, and sew the seeds of resentment that will be adverse when the kids mature into adults.

uh...whisperin??? these are all kids of single parent homes. They have no guidance. They walk the streets and do as they please and have no goals or aspirations. They are thugs and just don't know the difference. It is very sad. How do I know? My friend works in the court system and has all the info on such kids....like I have always said...anyone can have a baby, but what you teach that child and how you love that child is what matters.

yes WoW, i agree with you, as i have began to "mature' i have tried to keep a very open mind, and not judge a fashion, or anything else as bad, well hell, i just remembered the 70's when i wore super hip hugger jeans, with elephant legs....no one ever had hotter pants than those, or so my 15 year brain thought....but i was hanging with other 15 years old and they thought they were just a wonderful as i did.

Those wannabee gangstas are so easy to catch, they can't run without tripping, and have to use one hand to hold up their oversized saggy pants. The whole thing is just silly.

I think the police could focus on much more important issues.
