 Thursday night my # 2 Ohio State Buckeyes played, and destroyed Marshall, 45-7. Today, the rest of the college teams open up their football season.
Right now, I'm watching Michigan against Conn. GO CONN!!! Sorry, Dawn, me being a Buckeye, I'm never ever going to root for Michigan for anything!!! 
I'm also going back and forth between channels as I'm watching my Reds against St. Louis. GO REDS!!!

One thing great about the NCAA is that despite the BCS instead of a playoff, every game counts. In week one we have already seen number 15 Pitt go down to Utah. Of course, there are the usual muggings and massacres as the big dogs take on small schools, but there are some tasty match ups also including some tonight and one tomorrow night.

Strad, my house is in a state of all out WAR! I am a Buckeye, through and through (I better be since I graduated from there way back when!). My son is 14 and just started high school. I have NO idea what the hell happened to him, but he's a MICHIGAN fan! 
Every day it's something- he'll change the computer desktop wallpaper to a Michigan symbol, or leave me notes in my room saying, "Go Wolverines!" I'm mean, it's getting to be a real problem!
I was all set to chock it up to growing pains, having no idea the WORST was yet to come!
Last weekend he says to me, "Mom, I've been thinking about where to go to college. I'm really interested in computers and technology! So I've been looking for good schools that have programs in that field." I was SO impressed! I mean, it's hard for me to get him to talk about anything, let alone give me more information than just a one liner.
But then came the sucker punch! He says, "Michigan has a great technology/computer program. I'm going to school there!" (and he's totally serious).
I thought I was going to die!
Then I informed him that he better start getting his financing together now, because this BUCKEYE doesn't pay for ANYONE in her family to go to U of M! My son got SO mad at me when I said that! Of course, he was SO serious about it.....what a crack up!
