What's your blood type? posted 8/27/2010 10:20:34 PM | 3 kudos what's this?     report abuse tagged: fun, blood, health, straddle   StraddleMyNose This has interest me the last couple of years, because for one I had no idea what my blood type was until I finally decided to give blood back in late 2004. I asked what my blood type was and was told "O positive". I have asked this to a few friends since and some knew while others didn't. I believe it's important to know what your blood type is in case there is some sort of emergency if you needed blood given to you. I have a friend named Mayra who is 26 years old that I asked this to about 4 months ago and she told me that she is "O negative". She has a lot of depression and some other mental and physical health issues. So this got me thinking about how one's blood type can possibly effect someone's mental health in some ways. Not sure if this if there is any truth in any of this, but it would be interesting to test this theory for shits and giggles to where we can have fun with this. I have a few other friends that are positive with their blood type that are pretty much the happy go lucky type people. And a few other friends that are on the negative side with their blood type, and seems to have a little more issues than the average person in their lives. This is just an observation of mine, and like I stated already, It's kinda fun to play and speculate with this theory. What I would like to know from everyone on here is, do you know your blood type? If so, do you consider yourself to be a happy go lucky person, or do you usually swing the other way with some form of depression? Also, to all you "Vampires" (or people that loves blood...lol) out there, do you have a preference in someones blood type? This is a repost. 	Well..... Let me see..I'm B+. I can tell you from working trauma that whether you know your blood typ or not makes no difference in an emergency. They type and screen everyones blood even if they know their blood type. If you needed blood before that process could be completed they would give you O neg because that is the universal donor type. The moral of the story is.. Tell your friend to donate blood. Maybe the Ideal that she is saving lives will help her depression. Who knows. Oh and tell her Vampires really dig O neg.....No funny after taste.

	If you needed blood before that process could be completed they would give you O neg because that is the universal donor type. Interesting, I didn't know that. A positive.

	when I was born the doctors written that I was an O+ then when I joined the military they told me I was A+. I read that your blood type can't change so either the doctors or the military screwed up (or I'm just some kind of freak)

	A Positive and I am irish to lol.. I also donate plasma which is needed just as much as blood..So find your local plasma center and donate. it takes about an hour and they pay you for you time although its not about the money..Plasma helps others with liver problems. and if you didnt know your liver is what keeps you from getting deseases it is like filter for your body...

	O positive.... Irish temper to go with the Irish blood, so I've been told... lol I have clinical depression and anxiety, but can usually control it with medication. But pain also contributes to depression, which is what caused most of mine.
