I watch football sometimes, but I am not educated enough on the teams history to make any predictions. I like the Giants because a friend of mine is into them...ok...not just into them....crazy about them...I like the Cowboys cause Sunshine is happy when they win! I just hope all you kids have fun with the game and don't get too edgy when they can't live up to your wants...best wishes on a great season!

I think Michigan's football team, the Detroit Lions, is a misnomer- with their record, it really should be the Detroit Lionesses!!!
The same could be said for the Detroit Tigers baseball team- that should be: The Detroit Tigeresses baseball team! But... that's just my opinion and I can say that because I live in Michigan and both teams suck wind!
I should leave quickly now before sugar puts a sleeper hold on me!

I think the Lions will win 4 this year, twice as many as last. Suh should make a difference, best D-lineman they've had in ages.
As for the rest of the NFC North:
The Bears will probably finish 8-8.
Packers with 9 wins, might make Wild Card.
Vikings will win 10 without Favre, maybe 12 with him. They've just got too much young blood to not at least break double-digits.

Considering that his Bungals didn't score until the last minute of the game, I don't blame him for being quiet about that it. When Cincinnati had the ball, there was definitely some offensive football on display.
Can I say "who cares"? How about "so what"? Oh, that's the Lion fans' remarks. But I think that they pull off five wins. They are improving and they do get to play the Bears twice. I like Stafford if he can stay healthy.
I would like to catch a few more preseason games before saying much more.

I think the Cowboys will go to an almost Superbowl because Dallas is hosing it, in an economic twist it would be best if they come close but not quite there so two other teams will come in and it will be an economic BOOM for Dallas... Who those ppl are I have not a clue, but hey I am not a follower of the thing but in order to be a part of the play I have to say something and every time the Cowboys win traffic is MUCH better in the Dallas commute.. so please dear Cowboys win a lot of games, I want an easy time driving to work on Mondays this Fall... Smile

Though it is not nearly as bad as it used to be, the fortunes of that team really do reflect the mood of the area. In the seventies until the mid-eighties, if you weren't a Cowboy fan, Mondays in the fall could be unbearable. If they won, the fans bragged and crowed nonstop. If they lost, all of the guys were assholes who whined and made excuses for the defeat. Either way, it was all people talked about all day long.

I lost interest in football after they changed, added, twisted rules of play, & screwed with original teams & their names. I especially don't like to see players avoid a hit & run to the sidelines because of the money they are worth for a continuing season. To avoid being labeled as a downer I predict the Texans to win it all.

Eh, there just pre-season games. As we get closer to the start of the regular season, each game will start becoming more meaningful.

New England
New Orleans
San Diego
New York Jets
Miami
Atlanta
If they plan on going to the Super Bowl they may have to sit in different places as I doubt they get 53 tickets in all together.
