I started my current job in the middle of last year. When autumn rolled around and daylight savings time faded away, I found the majority of my daily trip to the home terminal at the end of the day was done in darkness. The first few days, it was overcast as well, so visibility was almost nil by the time I made it back. I found I was dwelling on the unpleasantness of the situation all the way back most days.
Then along came a clear day. The sun was setting as I started, and along the way, I was filled with a sense of wonder. How long had it been since I'd viewed a sunset? Well, I think it had actually been a few weeks before, but circumstances weren't such that I gave it my full attention. Driving home, observation and listening to the radio were all I had to do, other than amuse myself with thoughts, so I observed.
I saw an incredibly beautiful sunset on the way home tonight, and I would like to exhort YOU, fellow horny people, to take a little time out of your day and notice the beauty that surrounds you. It really can sweeten your day.

I try to take a moment out of each day and notice something beautiful. It doesn't have to be something in nature. Today I was in Wal-Mart and noticed a baby's smile. She was so cute, that i had to smile in return.

I'm from California....Our sunsets are sooooo beautiful....I live in the country.....Not near LA or the City where all the smog is at...I wouldn't change it for the world....At night I see the stars so bright.....Thanks

I love this blog!!! I stop to enjoy the beauty of the world around me all the time! I take "stupid" pictures of cool trees, clouds, and many, many sunsets all the time. My daughter cringes when she hears me exclaim "oh wow, look at that!", then pull over to take a picture of a corn field. Hey, the corn was swaying in the breeze - it looked like it was dancing! So sue me! :)

I'm a little envious of MEMEME. I hate winter in Illinois. At some point in time, I really hope I end up living some place with a more temperate climate.
