Yeah, if you are just looking to get laid.. and nothing else.. then it's fuck em and forget em. I know that sounds awful coming from a woman.. but hey.. it's been done to us for years.

Weird how this "topic" is such an unknown for some of us......cuz I don't know either. But here is my truth: I have been sleeping with this guy for 9 months now....bla bla bla....further details read my first blog. I laid out the rules: don't call me, don't text me....this will be PURELY physical. NOTHING more NOTHING less. First of all, I has NO IDEA that the first night was going to be as exceptionally amazing as it was....  BUT...I knew that in order to protect myslef, I could NOT give any more than that. JUST a FUCK!  So.....for the first 6 months, he showed up at my door whenever I texted him and asked....be it once a week, or once a month. I opened my door, he kissed me, picked me up, carried me into my room, and we would screw for hours. Lay in bed and watch a little TV....but we hardly spoke a word to each other unless it was dirty talk to each other. Most often he would stay, not always but most of the time. Now, for the last 3 months, it has been at his place, we have been having conversations about so many things.....his life, my life, and just random unimportant things.....but....it's conversation....and it has been good. We still do not call each other or text unless we want to see each other and it's been about every 2 to 3 weeks.
So...was I seeking a relationship? NOOOO NO NNNNOOOO! Am I now? No, not with anyone else.....but I am more scared to get close to him than I have been in any other relationship....because I am so jaded from my last break up.....he does not want a relationship either...so what the fuck do you call this????
In my perfect world, I would prefer that we wait to get physical until we have a fairly established "relationship"....but I am one of those women who get sex and love confused sometimes...and I LOVE sex...so go fuckin figure.....I gues you could say I am one confused chick!!  but at the end of the day...as I am sure many of us know full well......sex ALWAYS FUCKS things up!
For whatever that is worth...which probably aint worth much.....there's my piece!

More often than not, the correct answer to that question would be "no". That is because a relationship is much less likely than sex. Sex first, relationship...maybe but probably not.
Do you get to know someone before Sex?
If absolutely necessary, well, yes. That depends on how lucky I get and how charming I am combined with how much she has had to drink and how lonesome she is. Seriously, those two things go on simultaneously but progress at different rates depending on the person.

Not necessarily as long as there is a lot of communication and a sincere effort on the part of both people to get to know one another beyond the bedroom.

Ideally, but sometimes I cant help myself, especially if the guy is irresistible. Of course, luck of the draw in whether they stick around or not though.
I actually have for a few months to a year. His schedule forced us to do that...it was worth the wait though.

If I were getting to know a man I would find that more than a little insulting. It sounds very disrespectful. Good sex comes from knowing a person not jumping straight into bed with them. That attitude would make me lose my keys and there would be no "test drive" or even a second date. If all I wanted was a good fucking I have plenty of batteries.
Sex at the beginning of a relationship is fine as long as it does not turn into all sex at the expense of getting to know the person.

We have two regular ones around here, they are kind of going the way of the drive in. But the last time I went to one, around 35 years ago, you almost got your wish...I was rooting for the livestock. "Buck 'em Bronco!" "Swing to left, swing to the right, throw the cowboy into the night!" If a rider couldn't go the eight seconds, I'd yell out "Moo for you!" "Just horsing around, cowboy?!?" I had a good time but noticed that people in cowboy hats just don't have much of a sense of humor...oh well
