I have gone up and did a search many times for information and pictures on the towns and cities that people live in. It is interesting to do so. You often get to see pictures of some of the more interesting places as opposed to pictures of a small town that look like most other small towns. The chamber of commerce Web sites often feature the pictures of the more interesting places and sights.
I had thought about trying to get everyone to Do like you did for a fun Blog!!

i love HT idea, this coming week as you are out and about...grab your camera, lets see where you live...the good the bad the ugly...but mostely the good!
Fun concept, well, sort of.
So the proposal is to go out and take pictures of my city so that (based upon the number commentators on this blog, including Comet and myself) seven people can see them after I shoot them and post them to photo bucket? 
Maybe posting a link to pictures on the Internet of your city or town that are already available might yield better, more interesting photos and be much less labor intensive, ya think?
