If you had to pay a dime for each one you said, would you start watching what you said so you weren't always broke or would it make a difference to you? 	Depends on what is going on. Two nights ago when the home phone, cell phone and the internet all went out at the same time I would have either been very rich or very poor depending on if I was paying or getting paid. Depends on how a word is used if I get offended or not. Tone and context can change things.

	There are three classic stories about Broadway shows involving actors and actresses that have made the rounds for decades in theater and still are. One of these involves Ethyl Merman and Loretta Young. Young was a pious woman who was known for having a swear jar backstage that an offender was expected to put a quarter in for each transgression. A play was going to debut that would feature the two women and Merman. who was known to be brassy, became aware of the swear jar. At their first meeting back stage, she went up to Young and noted the the swear jar. She pulled out a five dollar bill and said, "Just so we understand each other, paid in advance" as she stuffed the five in the jar. "Now go fuck yourself."

	there was a story on the radio last week where a city in northern Australia is considering fining ppl for swearing in a public street, $110 on the spot fine.

Well, if you can't say how you please without the risk of shelling out to pious regulators and the self righteous that rat people out, folks can always creatively communicate their sentiments through farts and belches. These can be very effective communication devices based upon my deep experience in the use of them at appropriate times.

If you had to pay a dime for each one you said, would you start watching what you said so you weren't always broke or would it make a difference to you? Yep...I'd be doing more to watch what I'm saying. Are there words or phrases that you do not say, and/or don't like to hear anyone else use around you? No. I can pretty much ignore it.
