Do take care of yourself. Though not quite as bad, RJ has been battling the same sort of thing for over a week with a high fever that has not been below 101 the whole time.

I also ended up with Staff infection and ended up losing all my toes on the right foot. That to a bunch of good doctors in Seattle they helped me pull though it. I was in the hosptial there for over 3 weeks. It also turned into diabetes.

Kat, staph infections can be extremely dangerous and even deadly. Make sure they take care of it correctly and when they say it is gone have them retest you to be sure. It took me seveal months to get rid of one, luckily no lasting side effects from it. I was lucky.
Best wishes and as Sam said, gentle hugs. Feel better soon, Sweety.

I'm sorry to read about your illness! I've never had to contend with a staph infection so, I can't relate to the problems it causes! But, from the comments I've just read, I hope you get it taken care of ASAP!
Please get your good health back quickly!

Staph infections are insidious! And unfortunately, hospitals and clinics are full of it... it's a primary reason to limit one's exposure in those environments.
Hopefully the IV treatments will kick your infection. And as the other stated, please retest as a preventative measure.
Get well soon!

Yep, Luna, it seems that MRSA attacks everything in your body, and one of the first things to go is the pancreas. It can and will also weaken heart valves and other things. I have now got recurring skin infections including psoriasis, joint swelling, etc. I never had that bit before.
I was sick for 2 years, I saw loads of doctors who put me on this pill or that pill and nothing was working.. finally I saw a Doctor who cares.. her NP actually diagnosed me when she came in to do the pre work. She sniffed and said, you've got a Staph infection, I can smell it. It did almost kill me. I'm still regaining my strength from the 2 years of misery.
Kat... be sure to get you some probiotics to be taking along with the anti-biotics cuz you can die from too much antibiotic as well.. it will shut your digestive system down. Yogurt with live culture is ok.. but there are probiotic bars available with three times what you would get with a cup of yo.. also there are pills that you can just swallow... take care of you.

Oh, also, if you are diagnosed with MRSA, make sure they give you the antibiotic goo you put up your nose as it hides out in your sinus.
