Don't read anything into this this. It's just attempted humor.

In obscurity I languished
Without any dreams fulfilled
Never much excitement
Except when I was killed

I tried to get to heaven
But I didn't have the cash
There's a homie at the curb
Going through my trash

I told them all about it
They didn't get what I said
Nobody listens to me
Now that I dead

Revenge will be mine
I don't care what they think
As my corpse ripens
They can have my stink

I couldn't get to heaven
The killer stole my cash
A cracker and homie scuffle
Fighting for my trash

You trying to tell us something?

Yes, I saw the part where you said, "Don't read anything into this this. It's just attempted humor." Just being smart assed again.

Nobody listens to me while I'm alive, why should it be any different when I'm dead?

Just being smart assed again.

Actually I was recalling a refrain that I incorporated into that about 13 years ago around this time of year when a colleague died and I had to clean out his desk. He had been there close to 30 years. It was a big desk and I had to trash a lot of it and put it out in the hall. A couple of the cleaning crew went into the trash can and got into it over possession of items in the trash can.

Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.

We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...

Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.

And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the lord.
