Ok be honest here like you know I appreciate it...I want to see how everyone feels about this. Me & group of my friends last night were discussing this.

If you are in a committed relationship & happy, is it ok in your eyes to go to a bar by yourself simply to relax & have a drink not planning on trying to meet someone just to relax or is that a form of cheating not taking your significant other with you.

I would see no problem with it in and of itself, especially if the SO has no desire in going. I could see where it would get to he an issue if it happened too often, the person came home drunk, or was running the risk of a DUI. It kind of goes back to that al things in moderation concept to me. I must also say that I know a lot of people that would be quite upset if their SO did that.

It's not even cheating if there is only talking going on with the opposite sex.

How about this. you SO tells you he has been thinking of another woman when he has sex with you... is that cheating? In my eyes it is.

Well Purp.... I don't think I would consider that cheating but it'd be a sure fire way to piss a woman off!!

I think its ok......Im easily Smothered though....If I dont get the space I need Im likely to leave......Its an Aquarian thing
My guy knows Im trustworthy though...if theres a history of cheating I would think itd be a different story.....

Yes it is ok. If I have to be attatched at the hip to someone then there is a problem there that does not look good for the relationship. Now if he comes home drunk and abusive from the bar all the time? That is no problem either because I would be gone.

>Pulls out whip to beat dead horse again<

Steps in a relationship:

1) Meet
2) Agree to form a relationship
3) Talk about and decide what the boundaries of that relationship are
4) Follow said boundaries

As long as you are doing #4, it's not cheating. If people don't do #3 then they deserve whatever befalls them.

If the definition of your relationship says "you're not even so much as to look at another woman but you're allowed to have sex with any midget that's wearing a brown fedora and garters"...well if you follow the rules it's not cheating.

Not only is it fine, it's healthy. Everyone needs 'me' time. If the partner is so insecure as to think that it would be cheating then there are some serious, needs addressing and fixing, issues in that relationship.

I'm definitely with Skwirl on this subject..
Jealousy and mistrust have no place in a relationship

No problem at all if my s/o were to go to a bar by himself for a drink or two.

Now...if he goes home with another woman for sex, that is cheating, and his ass will be out the door.
