I am looking into alternatives & 3 things came up in searches & wanted to see if anyone here had ever heard of any of them working...I am trying to eliminate the pills or at least not the really hard ones.

1. Chiropractor - it says they can readjust the spine & that helps migraines.

2. Acupuncture &/or pressure - if you do it fairly frequently it will help.

3. Magnets - supposed to help with multiple health issues & all you have to do is put it on.

So if you guys know of anything else in non pill form that actually helps would be appreciated. :o)

I can't help you too much. They have me on a dumpster-load of Depakote and Verapamil. Bad things happen if I don't use it.

I've suffered from migraines for years. Usually brought on by abrupt changes in the weather, eating certain foods, exposure to certain smells (chemicals/ perfumes/ mold) or if my neck is "out of alignment". The best for the last one is Chiropractor all the way. I once had a disabling migraine for 4 days to the point I was ready willing and able to die if it would just stop the pain! 15 minutes after having my neck "cracked" the headache was totally gone! Amazing! I became a firm believer after that! Since being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia I've learned that my headaches are in large part just another symptom of the Fibromyalgia. My pain meds for that, while they help the body aches somewhat, they don't seem to touch my headaches at all. Three Excedrin migraine pills and a cool dark silent room is usually my best relief.

Ginkgo biloba works wonders if consumed twice a day regularly. It is a vaso dilator but also an herb so less caustic.
