Come in different sizes, shapes, and colors!

I read a post on the boards, got to me to thinking...

Personally, I like ALL women...Tall, short, big, or small...I love'em ALL!

I have dated beautiful women, as well as women who aren't considered to be so. (But to me they were, and that's ALL that matters!) I even dated a woman who was confined to a wheelchair, not that it matters...

I've dated skinny women, large women, small breated women, big breasted women...

I have dated women of all shapes and sizes, however, I've never had the pleasure of dating a woman outside of my race...be she an African American, Indian, Filipino, Hispanic, or what have you. Not that I wouldn't, because I find women of all shapes, sizes, and colors to be very beautiful and sexy as well...

I hope this doesn't sound bad, or offend...but I have always wanted to date an African American woman...(I told this to an African American woman one time, and she scolded me saying she felt offened by saying that to her. *shrugs shoulders*)...

I've also dated women who were beautiful on the outside, but not so much on the inside. I've also dated women that could be thought of as not so on the outside, but were very beautiful on the in...

Just goes to show you that you should NEVER judge a book by looking at the cover...

Just thinking aloud to myself I guess...

*shoots hand up in the air* Ooo, ooh! Pick me, pick me! I'm a woman of color!!! AND (ha! there's more!) I have a shape and a size!

But I have to say that I have been offended at being told someone is interested in dating a me (as a Black woman) when it's to satisfy a curiosity based on stereotypes or to cross some kind of imaginary social line...(because interracial dating is taboo). I don't want to date someone whose primary interest in me is as some kind of experiment or social statement...or to shock or piss someone off. I realize that may not be the reason most people have an interest in any person outside of his/her own race/ethnicity/culture, but if it is - and you tell me this - ACCESS DENIED.

There is a difference between saying "I've always been attracted to Black women but have never really had an opportunity to date a Black woman", and saying "I've always wanted to "try" a Black woman; I hear they're wild in bed!"

I'm not sure if that helps to clarify one perspective - if not, I'm happy to try again :)

Oh, I want to add this...I've actually be "kicked to the curb" because someone was interested in dating a Black woman and found out I was only 1/2 Black. WTF???

I've been chatting with an African American woman for about two weeks now, (from another website- not renewing my subscription- like it here much better) and we've become good friends. We've talked about a lot of issues (sex, race issues, family, likes, dislikes etc.) all without giving it a thought about whom we're talking to- it's like old friends just communicating.

We like each other, we enjoy each other and so far no subject is taboo.

Don't know if we'll ever meet (states separate us), wouldn't mind tho- but if we don't, we still enjoy IMing each other!
