I came across this tonight reading the news. I just think castles are intriguing. It's a shame this one is crumbling away! There's really not much historic value to this castle but I still think they are grand and hold alot of history!!
Here's a story about another castle. One that is close by, in Greenback, TN. The only history to this is the man building it. He's a very religious guy and loves to talk to you if he's around when you visit. People make all sorts of donations to the castle. Bricks, rocks, marbles, crosses and even dixie cups! lol But he built it for God.
I take people to the castle in Greenback quite often. Especially if I have visitors fromm out of town, everyone enjoys seeing this one! I would just love to see the castle on the Hudson from a boat one day, it's quite beautiful!
