Alice Cooper's DNA posted 5/13/2010 1:13:10 PM | 0 kudos what's this?     report abuse   Ewe_Wish My daughter went to a Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper concert last night..........it must have been something totally awesome cause she was on such a natural high when she got home I couldn't shut her up LOL I know she wasn't drinking...........I checked lol Anyway during the concert where Alice Cooper was on stage he was throwing necklaces..........(like the mardi gras ones) into the audience.........at one point in time he had one in his mouth and he took it and flung it out into the audience and my daughter caught it........so now we have his DNA What truly amazed me is how much technology has changed concerts.........I remember going to concerts that you could buy posters, T-shirts, and cds at...........but last night my daughter bought a USB flashdrive with last nights concert on it so that she could bring it home and burn it into a DVD.........How cool is that........Now you can actually have a copy of the concert you were at.................I am not a big fan of Rob Zombie or of Alice Cooper.......tho I did go a faze of his many years ago.....but I think its really cool that they are now selling USB flashdrives so you can relive your memories......... 	It is amazing. But how a show sounds "live" and how it sounds after it is recorded can be two different things without post production. I am pretty sure that it was a flash of an earlier show in the tour that was cleaned up, perhaps cutting in some audience shots of the hall. But be sure and let me/us know when she plays it if it was actually in the venue that she saw it in. I guess we will see the show on YouTube.

	According to them its recorded right there..........they give you an access number because the last couple songs have to be downloaded off their site because they cut it early so they can start downloading them onto the USB drives. My daughter stood there and watched them as they put hers on her drive. Its really cool cause they have Alice Cooper Concert Duluth MN May 12, 2010 stamped on the drive itself.......and than they put it in this really nice box with the same information on it........It cost 25 dollars but she thought it was well worth it...........of course you could take the concert off the drive and use the drive for something else.........but as I told her that someday that will be considered a collectors item if only to her..........and she should leave it that way........but I will let you know how it looks and sounds when she downloads it.........

	That is so cool!!!!! It let's her capture the moment in time to treasure for life. There are a few band like Little Feat (may have been a favorite of Gary's) that have been doing that for a few years, but in different way. They would record the gigs and remaster them and offer them on their Web site. If she converts the show to iTunes or some other format, send it on to me to my yahoo as I would like to hear it.

	When I was in my "Teens"....I Loved Alice!!! But yanno...I had to Smoke dope to understand the Lyrics!!! It/He was awesome!!!!! Can I go back and do a re-do? "Dead Babbie's" (Its a SONG!) was a Fav..when I was "High"...but I'll be damyned if I can remember ..WTF it was about!!! I went Rafting on the New River... In "West By God".......and a lil Sweet lady..was in a Kayak.. Filmed us...and put it on DVD...!! It was awesome!! I'm sure Your Daughter..and even You wont be let down!!! Hell, you might even see her!!!

	WOW!! Cool! I'm glad your daughter had a good time!!! And got the beads!!! ...with the DNA.... Still cool though!! The Gruesome Twosome tour will be here in Knoxville this coming Tuesday.... I've been asked to go but I'm just not sure. I've never been the biggest fan of either of them but it would be cool to see.
