With my daughter......my husband (who at that time was just my boyfriend) worked out of town.......he came home for one weekend and a week later I started throwing up........I continued for a couple of weeks until a friend of mine who worked in the lab at the clinic told me to stop in and she would do a pregnancy test on me.......yep i was pregnant.........I had morning sickness from the time I was a week pregnant until the morning she was born. I loss so much weight they were talking about hospitalizing me......than I developed toxemia and did end up in the hospital 4 times. the night before I had her, we were staying at my moms because we were looking for a house to rent, we were in the kitchen doing dishes........and I felt the first pain..........I told my husband to finish up I was going to go take a shower.
About midnight the pains were getting closer and steadier ........nothing I couldn't handle but my mom wanted me to go get checked since I had had so many problems already.........I went up to hospital and was dilated to 2 and they admitted me and called my doctor. At 430 I was dilated to 10 and started hard labor which ended 45 minutes later when I gave birth to my daughter...........Yep only 45 minutes........but I can beat that........when I was pregnant with my son and went into labor I never did have hard labor........they hooked me up to the machine and when they saw I was having a contraction they told me to push.......my pains never got closer together than about a minute and a half.........and all I had was some back pain............If my pregnancies had been as easy as the deliveries I might have thought of having more kids LOL

I have three children which was a bit of a shock the first time as a doctor had told me the year before it was very unlikely I would ever get pregnant. Wonder where he got his license? All three times I was just getting really tired, went to the doctor and found out a baby was on the way. I never knew what I was having until the baby was born and the longest I was in labor was 45 minutes. I lived 30 minutes away from the hospital so they were running down the hall with me trying to get me in the delivery room before I had the baby in the hallway. I only had someone in delivery with me one time. With my daughter my husband at the time was in there took one look when she was coming out and passed out cold on the floor. LOL The only really unusual thing was that my oldest son was over three weeks late. No they did not have the due date wrong he was in position and everything but I just did not go into labor. I was ready to send that kid an eviction notice by the time I went into labor with him. And he has never been on time for anything since I might add. I did not have morning sickness, after the first two months I had a lot of energy and pretty much drove people crazy wanting to redecorate everything around me. One doctor told me I should consider having a large family....ummmm no three was enough.
All in all it was all good and I would not do anything different but I am really glad they are all adults now with kids of their own. Being a grandma is great, I get to spoil them, feed them sugar and then send them home to my kids.

For my first one.. my first sign was that my boobs swelled up and held me off the bed.. and they hurt soooo badly. About two weeks after that I started barfing up everything except M&Ms so ... I was sick 24 hours a day for 9 months. I got huge, everything hurt.. I was miserable and cranky.. I didn't have particular cravings cuz everything I ate got thrown up anyway... I gained almost a hundred lbs. And then..after 36 grueling hours of labor.. I had an emergency C section from belly button to pelvic bone and was incapacitated for months afterward as they cut the muscles rather than pulling them apart. it was horrible.. but I love that kid.
