Probably Irish stew made with venison. My grandmother used to make it and I still love it. And I love frybread with honey on it. Had to cut that out of my diet except for special occasions now as that is not waistline friendly.

My Mom used to make this spanish rice and I absolutely loved it!!! I actually talked her into making it again a few months back, it was the first time she'd cooked it in probably 25 years!!! Well, after it was all said and done, she asked if I really did like it cause she never really did but made it for us cause it was a cheap meal and we didn't have a whole lot of money but I loved it! So I felt relieved that she had said that cause it really wasn't all that I remembered it being..... but it was nice to have it again... it did bring back some memories!!

I loved, and still do, steak. I particularly liked to eat the fat, not so much now if it was cripsy. I loved anything chocolate, especially ice cream. I still do. Chocolate ice cream with chocolate syrup or, better still, hot fudge is divine!!
When I was ill and home from school, when my mom went to get my prescriptions filled, I would go into the kitchen. I would eat Nestles Quick with a spoon and drink chocolate syrup from the can. I never got caught either!

RJ: I've never had fry bread with honey...or even fry bread by itself. I guess I need to try some.
Sunshine & Sugar: OMG...I LOVE cabbage rolls and Mac & Cheese.
Pink: I remember spanish rice. I haven't had any in a really long time.
Comet: I remember bologna well. I used to eat it all the time.
WoW: He..he...he...I can totally relate. I used to eat peanut butter...from the jar...with a spoon...and it was awesome.
Skwirl: I've never had porcupine meatballs..but they do sound yummy.
Straddle: I LOVE Pepsi too...but it is so evil. If I drink too much...it causes me to gain weight.

WoW: He..he...he...I can totally relate. I used to eat peanut butter...from the jar...with a spoon...and it was awesome. Oh I hit that too along with the strawberry jam...who needs bread? Brown sugar was also a preferred target with a pancake syrup chaser!

There were two things my mom use to make that I just loved.......even today we still eat it but to be honest its not as good as mom use to make it...........one is pie crust cookies..........my mom being the person she was could never throw away anything that was usable including extra pie crust so she would roll it out butter it sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on it, cut it up in squares and baked it.............i think we enjoyed that as much as or even more than the pies.
The second thing was dough gods..........where she would take bread dough and stretch it out and fry it in a couple inches of oil.........on those we put butter sugar and cinnamon.........or some people put butter and jelly on it..........these are not to be confused with fry bread............which I also love but the dough is made differently............

I also remember very fondly, baking day. Mom and I would set the bread dough.. enough for 12 loaves of bread (a week). We'd punch it and knead it and all those wonderful things which still relaxes the stress right out of me.. and then we'd form the loaves and let them rise.. the first loaf out of the oven was named Sacrifice. it never even got cool.. we'd rip it open, butter and honey it and just eat big hunks of it by the handful.. it was the best thing ever. Give us this day, our daily bread took on a whole new meaning.
