I hope not long or they would find two bodies, mine and my mom's as she is bedridden, has dementia and I don't think she would be able to call 911 but would probably just stand there and stare at me and not know what to do. Luckily my daughter calls us every day to check on things here. So I am sure if she did not get an answer she would be over here to see what the problem is. At least I hope so

It would take several hours but not more than a day.. my neighbors check in on me daily.

Since I don't miss a day of work...if I don't show up without calling in....my supervisor would try calling here, then call at my parents. Wouldn't take long at all. Also...if either my Mom or sisters notice I don't log onto the net...one would call. Between my family and work..they know my habits fairly well. Wouldn't be no longer than a few hours.

I wouldn't even get a chance of getting cold before someone would be here........my daughter calls or texts me every hour from work........and if she doesn't get a response she continues to call until I do.........my honey calls 3 or 4 times a day........and if he doesn't get me on my home phone he calls my cell, if he still doesn't get a hold of me, he calls my daughter, and if neither have heard from me, he leaves work and comes over..........which happened not to long ago when I feel getting out of the bath tub and couldn't get up.........now I am not allowed to take a bath without someone being home. In many ways it can be irritating.........but I am grateful they care so much about me.

hmmmmm....  ...I don't miss work very often, so I think one of my bosses that I have been friends with for many years would come check on me if I didn't show up. No one has a key to my house, so it would be difficult to know for sure if I were at home sick or injured or just MIA. Thanks for reminding me I need to give someone who cares an extra set of keys to my house.

If it happened in the am I might have to wait till 3pm when my kid got home. Most the time I couldn't be alone if I wanted to. My man, son and a roommate live in my house. But if you don't wanna be found Mt Raineer is a good spot to hide. Took 4 months to find the body of an X that killed himself up there.

Many, many years ago a guy I was somewhat acquainted with through friends got mad at his parents because they wouldn't take him to Europe with them. He committed suicide and left them a note explaining it including how funny he thought it was visualizing them coming home to his putrid rotting corpse two weeks later. They had to do a lot of remediation including getting new furniture and carpet because he stunk the place up so bad.
