I watched a movie Last evening...that I was kinda Reluctant too... because of the Main Actor!!
The Movie was..."Evan Almighty" and the Main Actor..is Steve Carell....
I have watched another movie that he was in (40 Year old Virgin).....after two attempts... It was ok!! (but If i watched it again..I'm sure it would be better!)
So I was a Little gun shy.. so to speak..when I started watching the Movie!!!
It took me a little while to get into the Movie...and I actually learned His Humor.. But yanno...after I Finally Learned how he Acted... the Movie was Awesome!!!
Yes I know every Movie is different...but an Actor leave's their personal Touches in their Acting!!! (So I believe!)
I Loved the Movie...!!! The animal "Effects" were 1st rate..and he did a great Job!!! I would give him a Kudo if I could!!

But it got me to thinking....I do wonder how Many people we Cut Short in our Lives...before we get to know them? Dates as well as any person we meet!!!
I can remember a kid when I was in the 2nd Grade...that I told myself..."What a Freak"!!!
We ended up being best friends through High School!!!
Do we let First Impressions...Rule out Friends, Movies,Songs....or Maybe more!!!

I do think that perhaps we are too hasty to make up our minds sometimes without giving new people or things a chance. That is human nature.

I distinctly recall doing that, and, man, was I ever wrong! It turned out to be one of my personal top ten movies of all time, Pulp Fiction. The actor, John Travolta.

I had been subjected to Welcome Back Kotter, Grease, Saturday Night Fever, Staying Alive, and Urban Cowboy where he played these pussy girly guys and I hated the him. I almost suggested to my date that we watch another flick in the theater instead.

I am glad that I didn't. When Travolta's character got machine gunned on the turder, I (and more than a few other guys) started hooting and cheering like somebody on our team had just hit a game winning walk off home run. Ironically, my date hated the movie.

Since then, he has been in many flicks that I have enjoyed.

Sigh, the only thing I've really enjoyed Steve Carrel in was Over the Hedge.

I love Pulp Fiction...but I wasn't happy John got gunned down on the pot!...back to the subject. I was relunctant to watch a movie with Cher in it. I was so wrong, she is a great actress. You kids should watch Having Teas with Mussolini. The costumes are great too. I also was relunctant to watch a movie with Bette Midler in it. I was wrong again! She is the bomb diggity.
Now, on to the first imprection thingy.I have had to learn to regroup and give others more than one chance. Of course I don't tell them that. Who am I to judge someone so quickly. People have made that mistake with me. I wasn't their cup of tea. They didn't give me a second chance. It hurts, so I don't want to hurt others.

John Travolta
Yeah.
I was permanently scarred by Saturday Night Fever, and I thought I'd never enjoy a movie
which Travolta appeared in. But Pulp Fiction, Michael, and Phenomenon
were all excellent!

Curiously, I probably wouldn't have seen any of them if my (then) wife hadn't insisted
on renting them...

I'm actually open until otherwise stated. Because of that, I found new things to watch and listen to. Who'd of thunk that you'd find too many black girls from the boonies who likes symphonic metal,lol
