Who is your favorite all-time female and male singer? Also, what is your all-time favorite singing group? I'm not talking about anything other than their music that they put out.

Here are my favorites:

1. Madonna - Just about anything she puts out is gold. I don't feel like this about a lot of people. The woman is so talented. She has a very good voice and great beat to her music. Granted, she's changed over the years and is now a little "out there" these days, but her music will live on for generation and generation.

2. Michael Jackson - He may no longer be with us, but he isn't known as the "King of Pop" for no reason. He was very talented, and had a great voice that went very well with his music beat. A true artist that made some of the best music videos one will ever see. Had so many number one hits.

3. Duran Duran - Okay, you may not hear all that much from them today, but when they were in their prime, they were Da Bomb. They put together some very good songs that went on the reach number one. The chemistry they all had with each other was very different with such talented members of that band.

Honorable mentions include Van Halen (with Davis Lee Roth), Mariah Carey, Cyndi Lauper, Heart, Bryan Adams, and Sheena Easton.

Just one favorite of each?
Yeah, I'm going to try to limit it to just one to each group with people. I'm sure there will be others trying to get some more of their favorite singers and groups in.

You can give honorable mentions though

All time favorite female singer? Stevie Nicks..I've always loved her voice and she always shines, whether she's with the Mac or solo.

All time favorite male singer? Michael Jackson. Not only did he have great songs, but I always loved watching him dance.

Favorite all time band(s)? Well, it's hard for me to choose between The Doors, KISS, Led Zepplin, Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath..............

What? Did you really think I could stick to just one answer?

My taste in female singers has never remained with a constant favorite but if I had to choose one it would be Ann Wilson of Heart.

For the guys, is and will always be Van Morrison.

For the groups, tough one again but I a tagging Chicago.

I should start out mentioning that I collect records (yes - vinyl, and I still listen to them), and so this is a very very difficult question for me to answer. If it were broken down into different Genres, I'd be able to answer it easier - to a point.

However, with over 1000 albums alone (not counting CD's, of which the pile is getting taller),I have three three-way ties here, and it's the best I can do when thinking off the cuff!

Annie Lennox (of the Eurythmics), Patti Page, and Madonna.

(Honerable mention goes to Janis Joplin)

David Bowie, Tom Jones, and Stan Ridgway (of the short-lived Wall of Voodoo, and a very long solo career that's still going, and I still wonder if he is a Vietnam vet after hearing "Camoflauge" for the first time)

(Honerable mention goes to the Rat Pack, of course!)

Oingo Boingo, Led Zeppelen, and a band many of you may remember for one song, and they're called Nina (of "99 Red Ballons" fame)

(Honerable mention goes to The Cure, The B-52's, and Golden Earring)

I'm sorry - I just can't narrow 'em down anymore than that!

Jul 18 @ 6:50PM
Female- Victoria Legrand
Male- Thom Yorke

Band- Radiohead

Jul 21 @ 10:59AM
1. Female singer would have to be Joan Jett. In addition to her music, I'd do her in a heartbeat!

2. Male singer would have to be Chris Daughtry I love his voice, and again, I'd do him in a heartbeat!

3. Group is Nickelback. They really know how to make a hit song about fucking!!

Apr 19 @ 2:49AM
Wow. This is really hard.

Joan Jett smokes, no doubt. Makes ya think she's just a rock chick, and then she does a beautiful vocal on "Celluloid Heroes." Pat Benatar...whoah...that's pretty tough...and, I hate to admit it, but Pink's gotta setta pipes, and probably more in common with Joan that a lot of people would think.

Suzi Quatro's up there too. Wow. This is tough. I don't know why, but Kelly Clarkson can actually sing her butt off too. Love her stuff with Metalskool.

Okay, okay, I probably listen to Joan more than all of them put together.

Male vocalist? Shit. There's only one. Elvis. End of story.

Group? EEEeeeeeeee...fart-knockers. I guess I could play the old, "You only have ONE ALBUM for the rest of time!" In that case it'd either be David Bowie based on "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars," or Mott The Hoople, for what they did on "MOTT." But wait...there's always The Jim Carroll Band based on "Catholic Boy"...

Apr 19 @ 3:35PM
Tom Jones As Male Vocal Tanya Tucker As Female Vocal Ratt As My Fav Group
