Tomorrow I'm gonna go Watch Others, Live the life that I could only "Dream" of having!!!!!!

This is a more interesting blog idea than you realize at first glance. It caused me to stop and think about creativity in my life, especially my early developing years.

My parents, while great parents, were from the generation where hard work, keeping food on the table and a roof over your head were the most impotant things in life. Creativity was not discouraged but I can't say it was encouraged either. I don't think any of us 7 kids had any special talents other than sports (me in particular) but I can't remember ever being encouraged to follow a dream.

If you are a parent today I think it's crucial to understand your child and look for that special creative talent your child might have, no matter how minute, and to encourage them to "follow their dream".

Now that I am older I don't think or dream of another life but I do draw inspiration from others. Every time I see a new photo from Dionne I am inspired by her creativity, to do better with my own photos and develop my own style...which I am woking on.

So who knows perhaps I still may "Live the life I could only Dream about".

This is a challenging topic... I've lived part of my life wishing and hoping to live a creative life, but that's a far as it went which resulted in being disappointed, unfulfilled and unhappy because I didn't do the work required. I finally realized I must create my own path and purpose if I was going to live a more creative, fulfilling life. It's what I'm doing now... and I'm much happier and life is very good.

I see so many talented people in the world, yet they are unfulfilled because they did not follow their dreams. I realize not everyone will be able to achieve their dreams, but I think it's the striving and doing the work that's more important than actually reaching a particular destination or reward... it's what feeds our souls and gives meaning in our lives.

Dreaming is a great gift... it is what builds the bridge to doing great things, but if all one does is dream it will not manifest into anything of substance. Life is too precious not to dream and achieve... it doesn't have to be anything on a grand scale to receive the benefits from living actively instead of passively.

I don't want to watch someone else live a dream... I'm living my own dream and know others can do it as well, yet it isn't an easy path but rarely is anything worthwhile that comes too easily because we won't appreciate it.

Well I had always dreamed about being a paramedic......and I did become one.........and than due to my disability I can no longer be one...........does it bum me out..........sometimes but at least I got the chance to do it for a while.
