I finally figured out how to link my YouTube playlist comprising of what I consider to be the best versions, mostly live, of artists that interest me in the classic rock and blues genres. There are thousands of songs in these playlists. Feel free to enjoy and share.

Love the music.. My favorite has to be the Santana though.

That is a pretty good collection, but I find that the ASCAP police sweep it and negate many selections, so I have to search and find the tune being resubmitted to keep my list fresh. This is much more of an issue with American bands than those in Europe.

I went back into the Santana play list and it had several deleted videos. I replaced them and added some others. There is a methodology to doing this quickly and efficiently and it requires some work arounds within the clunky interface. But often the process involves better versions. But I will now enjoy that set list and I hope that you do also since I overhauled it. Actually, over time, you will find more tunes and better versions once you get the process down.

Saw some good bands listed in there...Stones, Sabbath, Pink Floyd..I've always loved Pink Floyd. Surprised not to see any Stevie Ray Vaughn..I loved Cold Shot, Couldn't Stand The Weather, and The House Is Rocking.

SomeGuy0001 added wonderful tips for saving YouTube videos to your hard drive:

If you're trying to save a video from YouTube, there are several ways to do it.

One of my favorite ways is via FireFox browser ( http://www.mozilla.com/ ), and a great addon called "Download Helper" ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006/ ).

Most YouTube videos are in FLV format, so you'll need a media-player that can play FLV files if you want to watch downloaded FLV files on your computer. A good and free player I use for this is SoThink FLV Player ( http://www.sothinkmedia.com/flv-player/download.htm ).

There are some online downloader websites in which you would simply copy & paste the YouTube url and have the website grab the video into a downloadable file.
Here some sites that will do this:
http://keepvid.com/
http://vixy.net/

Vixy.net has some good options that will allow you to convert the video ov er to a different format, such as AVI, MOV or MPEG formats, or, if let's say you just only want to download the audio from a video (perhaps it's a music video in which you just want to save the movie), it also allows you to save it as a MP3 audio file format.

Hope this info is helpful. Cheers!
