Here is a question I've always wondered:

If you post a blog and someone takes the time to comment, do you take the time to respond to their comment? If so, do you respond to them in your blog or by email? If not, why?

It seems like I comment on a lot of blogs and nobody responds to what I comment....kidna thinking maybe I should just quit commenting altogether I feel like I'm talking to myself most of the time.

A lot of questions so early in the day

After reading a blog and choosing to post a comment, do you read the other comments before posting yours? Most of the time yes. Depends on how much I am multitasking at the time to be honest. If I am working on orders, e-maling clients and such on my other computer at the same time I might not take the time to do that.

After reading a blog do you return to it later to read the comments of others? Sometimes, if I have time. I might return to it later on or not, it all depends.

If you come across a joke posted that you find funny, do you file it on your computer? Not really as I usually remember them anyway if I find them funny.

If you post a blog, do you ever go back and edit it to add to it, correct spelling or grammar, etc.?
Now, that I do. It really bugs me to find I posted something with a typo in it I wish we could go back and edit out comments on blogs.

Usually, but not on things like a joke blog or a link to a picture or video.

Frequently.

Usually, and I do it both ways, case by case. It also depends upon my mood and how busy I am.

In this case, thank you everyone for your comments.

I'll edit this blog but adding in her question.

Oh geez Bruce....ur a lot of work....

1. If I think a blog is worth reading then of course I think the comments are too. I don't leave comments as frequently as I use to...and if I come in really late reading a blog then I probably won't comment.

2. Yes I do return to a blog where I've left a comment. I sometimes can even remember how many comments were there when I left one then I just watch that to see if anyone commented after I did.

3. You probably can guess what's coming here....I rarely read jokes and if I do I may..or may not comment. On a rare occasion that I read a new one that I think is really funny I will copy and paste it into my e-mail to send to my local friends. Never, ever would I save it in a file....

4. I don't know that I've ever went back to add to a blog and I only correct something if it's fairly major. I always proof read my blogs before posting and sometimes I don't care how many times I'd do that I will miss something...usually just a typo and those I leave so those who like to critique such things has something to work with.....

Most of the time I will respond to those who comment in my blogs. I've learned to do copy and paste with each individual so when I'm done I just paste it all into the comments so the response you get in your private e-mail will probably be exactly what is in the blog comments. The only exception to this is if I'm away from my computer and I get too far behind....then I will leave a response to all the comments in the blog comments.

Have I gotten everyone quite confused yet???

All yes; the last one, sometimes. It isn't like my grammar is inconsistent, so people likely know it was a typo.

1. yes only to not duplicate someone's comment that's already posted
2. yes comments can be just as good or funny as the blog. Especially when it becomes a group conversation piece which can be entertaining.
3. no
4. yes I do now depending on how much time I have to work with.

This is a good question because this is a bad habit that rubbed off on me from bloggers that have been here a lot longer than myself. I've just gotten used to people not finding a breaking point between responses or not even responding back. I used to take it as people being snobs. On the other hand I've been told by a few veterans that I didn't have to respond to every comment because I would run out of emails. In the beginning I thanked everyone for commenting on my blogs until this & besides some say it was annoying. To be honest it's the seasoned veterans who drop commenting like a hot potato with no respect & no clue of why. It's like they are the only ones gifted to start & end a conversation at will. You can't blame everything on newbies.

If not, why?[B]Okay, I am totally guilty of not writing back thank you's most of tthe time. I really hope the people who commented on my blogs wouldn't take this personally. I started out doing this and kinda got a little lazy on the side after posting a lot of blogs and having a lot of people comment on my blogs. I'm always very appreciative to people posting on my blogs. I think another main reason why I quit reponding back with a thank you was the issue of the email limit on here. I will shoot back something every now and then to someone when I'm in the mood. God, I feel kinda bad now if I rubbed people wrong for not repsonding back.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.

After reading a blog do you return to it later to read the comments of others?

Yes I do. I like to see others opinions.

If you come across a joke posted that you find funny, do you file it on your computer?

No. I've honestly never thought of doing that.

If you post a blog, do you ever go back and edit it to add to it, correct spelling or grammar, etc.?

Yes I have done that. Usually to correct a word misspelled, or, add a little something to it.

I like to try to respond on the blog, and I have been known to respond through email.

Ok.....now I'm off to read what everyone else has said.

On Luna's blog I posted in response to her...
Ok, folks- disregard the remarks following the video. Discuss the video itself.

Hell no, I am having fun with this.

I also recall sugarnspice005 saying somewhere how fun it was to hijack blogs. Well, at least things are fun now in a troll free atmosphere for a few moments. So, I am going to give in to the intoxicating freedom from trolls and hijack my own blog.

Does anyone want to boogie? If so, here is Canned Heat as you never heard them. For you youngsters (under 50) give it a chance and a listen for a few minutes.

Confession time.. no I don't always read the other comments before I post my comment..that way my original thought isn't polluted by someone else's idea of what is what.

Sometimes I come back and read new comments on people's blogs. Sometimes I just don't care enough to bother.

I rarely save a joke I read.. usually file it away in the big computer on top of my neck.

it's rare that I'll ever edit or correct my blog.. but sometimes I do.. most of the time I spend trying to decipher what someone else has said.

I know this comment is a bit late. Better late than never right?

After reading a blog and choosing to post a comment, do you read the other comments before posting yours?

Yes...almost always.

After reading a blog do you return to it later to read the comments of others?

Yes...especially if I'm one of the first people to post a comment.

If you come across a joke posted that you find funny, do you file it on your computer?

No...perhaps I should start because I can never remember the punch lines.

If you post a blog, do you ever go back and edit it to add to it, correct spelling or grammar, etc.?

Yes...every time it occurs.

Good blog topic...Leaving you a greenie for your effort.
