Met someone for coffee today... that I had been having socially acceptable normal conversations with... about cars, convertibles and such.
It was who I was in communication with, but not the person in the picture..
It was who he had described... kinda...
But, it didn't matter... zip chemistry... OK to talk to, but nothing beyond.
So.. why the fake picture... it wasn't more appealing than the real person...??
And what was he looking for, that required false presentation ?
Why the subterfuge? I guess I am missing something, because this is not the first time. 
At another meet, the man stated he was only a few years older... and taller than he probably was in his youth.
But, he had given me his real name... and I had spoke with him a lot, before agreeing to a meeting.
A Google search provided wife's name... occupation... Son... residence in other states... and enough info, to determine his real age... which was less than what I would have guessed as a medical person.
He was startled that one of the first questions I asked... was how long since your divorce? It couldn't have been that long by deduction. Kudo's he didn't lie. But, the whole night talking about his children... work... and passion as a mediochre violinist, he never once acknowledged his oldest son, Gay and very prominent politically.
He insisted on a second date... even if I was hesitant enough that it took a month or more to get me to agree.
It became evident, that he had expected me to go home with him... probably stocked up on Blue pills.
His disappointment was palpable. 
I had not given any indication, lead him on... or even let him pay the bill. 
My Sister's old high school boyfriend has a profile that say's he is my age... +10 years younger than he is.
She doubted me... and that hurt... so I copied the profile and sent it to her.
My Brother is his age... they were friends in high school, he is worn but very physically mentally active. He is friends with a biologically possible woman, intelligent, and around if not his own age.
They appear equals and complimentary on all levels... And I admire her.
