I'm personally glad that I don't fit any of these characters from the show. 
Apparently, development is currently underway on a big screen version of Gilligan's Island. That should be somewhat interesting to see

i long to be stranded on a desert island like robinson crusoe with my dog
lucky. hollywood dog star. it was there tobago island off the coast of brazil.
there was peace and utopia for many years. then all of a sudden, some goddam
girl friday showed up being chased by pirates and sought sanctuary from
me. i was finally taken in chains back to the tower of london for tax evasion,
which is why i fled to the desert island in the first place. she turned out to
be a spy for the british govt. the pirate chase was only a ruse by the british
govt. i could not pay any of the taxes, and i rotted in the tower of london
until i died of malnutrition and insanity, for there was no else to talk to
there. we were only fed, if we could pay for the food. taxes what did they go for?
for the queens yachts, and fun times of course, her five thousand estates
throughout the world. all her accourtrements etc. her major navies, armies
and air forces who were expendable. she being the only worthy person
in the universe worth being alive. god even below her. god only existed
to serve her. she wished to god, and it was done. john donne, no true
or faithful woman anywhere, traitors and treacherous creatures all.

I didn't pick myself because as much as I'd like to be a Ginger...I just don't fit that role. This blog asked you to cast YOUR version of Gilligan's Island. It's not a popularity contest...so please don't treat it like that.

I would not work out on Gilligan's Island anyway as I would take one look at the Minnow and that crew and would not get on the boat LOL I have been on a boat about that size in a storm off the coast of Panama. Not an adventure I would care to repeat any time in the near future.
I was joking about not being chosen for it. I don't think I fit the descripton of any of them.
I always wondered something, if he could make a radio out of coconuts why could the professor never figure out how to fix that boat so they could get out of there?

I have been racking my brain on this and I am positive that this exact blog was done about a year ago, but there is no trace of it. That means it is somebody who canceled of deleted their blogs, maybe ewe_wish? I know because I remember selecting visualone to be Mary Ann.
I don't see a lot of people that fit, so I will just say that som is good for the professor and straddle for Gilligan. Maybe revdoc as the skipper.

Did you kids know that the island they used to portray Gilligans Island was off the coast of Negril, Jamaica? The opening of the show always showd a picture of this Island. I went to Negril in 1983 and we took a tour boat out to the Island and had a picnic and snorkeled all around the Island. Am I the only one that has actually been on theis Island?

Yes I was there in 1996 for one of the many weddings of my boss. He took friends, family and staff and rented an entire Villa in Negril. And no, I did not eat the Jennie Momma Cake, but others in the group did. Depending on how much you eat you can get a mild buzz or even hallucinations. There were some in the group who ate full slices and were reduced to sitting on their beds afraid to move. The bosses new wife spent an entire night crying on her bed begging for the effects to go away, as did a few others. My boss owns a famous Jamaican style bar in Ocean City called 'Seacrets'. It's online if you'd like to see pictures as well as current video. The place is amazing in it's authenticity to many of the Jamaican bars and was voted the most popular/best bar in MD. Every year he buys approximately $300-$400 thousand dollars importing palm trees and flowers from Fla. and replanting them. They only last the season but he does so much business he usually pays for them by Memorial Day weekend.

Nope.I've been to Booby Cay many times when I was 'Cattle Chartering'
out of Negril in the mid 70's before most people knew there was
a Negril..Load the boat with booze and broads and party down
Back then it was Mo' Bay was where people went on the west coast..
