A friend & I here were chatting back & forth on here. Topic came to 'anticipation'. I happen to be waiting on using a new toy. For others it could be waiting to meet their lover for the 1st time or what have you.
I wrote to my friend: Anticipation is something else, isn't it?
And his response, which made alot of sense was this:
Yes it is, it can run both ways too though, you build up something for to long to be good and then it doesnt live up to the hype Has this happened to anyone?? You were waiting for so long and when you finally got it, it wasn't all it was made out to be? Anybody wanna fuck?

I have been careful not to do this. One can over hype something, while other times this can work out for others who do this.

yep...went on my first and only blind date 6-7 yrs ago. We seemed to really click over the phone, and I was really excited to meet her in person. But the blind date was very mediocre... a huge disappointment. It wasn't awkward, but there was absolutely no chemistry when we were together in person. It was so painfully obvious that we had no future together that neither one of us contacted each other ever again, lol.

A few years back,I was chatting online, and then talking on the phone with a lady, she seemed and talked as if she was very outgoing ,but on our first (and only)date, she was the complete opposite, maybe I built it up more then I should of,but it was a big let down. And of course .

^^^^^What he said.^^^^^
Yanno...when I first saw the title of your blog...you made me think of the old Heinz ketchup commercial. The one where the really HOT guy sits the ketchup bottle on the window sill and runs down many flights of stairs to end up having the ketchup pour perfectly onto his hamburger. Or was it a hotdog? Who cares right?! He was so hot...and the song was really catchy.
