I have a sure fire way to fix the economy

In these trobled financial times, with local and national goverenments hurting for revenue, and the tax payers over burdened, I think I have a solution. Considering the divorce rate in this country, I think they should insttute a Federal and State Divorce tax, based on 5% of the individuals joint income for the previous year. I'll bet, based on the rate of divorce in this country, The Federal dephiset, would be wiped out in a few short years. Do you think I should call my congressman and suggest it.

Here's what I suggest:
one term for all elected officials. Until that happen's - if they are in office, no matter which party, they get voted out.
Do away with income tax - National sales tax (17%) - that way everyone pays for consumption and no one pays for saving - no more complicated forms - no more April 15th - All illegals who purchase pay the same tax.
Budget management - If the money is not there - you can't spend it - no deficit.
if it is made outside the US - tarif to bring it up to equal with US made similar product. Then the consumer decides on quality, service and everything but price. And jobs come home to America.
Single Topic legislation - if you need to vote on a bridge in NY (picked it out of the blue) nothing can be tagged on - no pork -Gee, the politicians might have to spend some time in Washington doing their job instead of taxpayerpaid junkets around the world.
If you are going to vote on it - you are going to be on it - no more separate retirement and insurance programs for politicians. If you are voting on social security - you will be on it. If you are voting on medicare - you will be on it.
