I was talking with someone today off here over the phone and we got into some talk about being a night person and day person, and I thought that a birth time may play a factor into whether a person is night person such as myself. I told her that I was born at 12:21am on Feb. 25. My birth weight (which has nothing to do with any of this but throwing it out there anyway) was 8.3 lbs. I would like to know from all of you if you honestly believe my theory about the time of night one is born is more likely to be a night person, and what was your birth time and birth weight?

Hey Straddle, have no idea of what time I was born or even how much I weighed but, it must have been early because I lovvvvvvvvve to go to bed early. I'm sure it has nothing to do with having to get up at 4 in the morning for work, LOL.

Interesting little theory...Not sure...I was 6.7 when born and was born at 8:42 at night. My schedule dictates whether I am nocturnal or not! LOL...

I was born around six in the morning weighing just over 6lbs. I am totally a night person rarely going to bed before 5.00am. Not sure how that fits in with your theory straddle.

The best I could determine was there appears to be some scientific evidence of a correlation between season of birth and the morningness-eveningness of a person. Specifically people born in autumn, winter are more likely to be morning people while the opposite is true for people born in spring and summer. The explanation as I understood it lies in the lengthening and shortening of days depending on season and this changing amount of sunlight somehow affects the biological clock of the newborn. I was 10Lbs.,2oz. and born at 4.52am on May 22. I have always been an early morning person and think maybe my upbringing on a ranch where early morning chores and later, military service along with my career as an electronic security specialist have had a lot to do with when I am most active. I do think there is alot to be researched on this subject and believe that there is some correlation between time of birth and peak activity periods in a persons life. As you can see, I am back from my surgery and doing well my friend.

Hmmm, not sure about that. I was born in winter, 6:10 am (actually, same time as my father was born too), 8 lbs. 7.5 ozs (same weight as my youngest sibling). I tend to be more of a night owl. My peak energy is after 9 pm. Yeah, I work nights and that might have something to do with it, but I was a night owl long before this schedule.

I was born at 9:36 pm and was 6 lbs 10 oz. I've always been a night person. Prefer being up at night as opposed to the day. I've been like that for as long as i can remember

I believe I was born around 6 in the evening and weighed 5.5 lbs
(yeah...I grew some between then and now...LOL)
