A friend of mine wanted me to do a blog about him...so here goes. Before I go any further...I will say he really doesn't participate in the blogs much...I used to give him a hard time in the chat rooms, and now we chat on messenger. He's a smart ass and overall pain, but........nah! Ain't gonna say anything "nice", might give him a swelled head. NO! Not THAT head! Geeez! Get your heads out of the gutter!
I'll start with a more recent chat session since it's fresh in my mind....(like I said, he asked for it. ) I was going through the blogs the other night, when he interrupted me with his usual greeting, "blahhhhhh", and then went on to bellyache about how he was in pain and has a hernia. Ya know, I TRIED to help him by suggesting putting an ice pack, wrapped with a towel, where the pain was. He kept refusing..said "ain't gonna happen". I told him "no guts no glory", and he still said "nope". I mean, c'mon, he's complaining about a hernia, and how it feels like his nuts are throbbing. Oh....I guess I left that small part out. Anyway......talking to him today, turned out his "hernia" was kidney stones. And yes, I ribbed him about his non-hernia.
He likes to fish, all he ever talks about is fish, fish, fish, fish................. I guess living off the east coast can be a fisherman's paradise, but, then again, in states like the Great Lakes States, can also be a fisherman's paradise with all the inland lakes, rivers, and streams. He's been telling me how fun it is to get a wet suit, come fish the rip, short swim out to the bar ummmmmm , yeah. In the ocean. Call me coward if you will, but, sharks are in the ocean, and they have LOTS of sharp teeth! Also, their hide is "sharp" also. Rub your hand on a sharks hide the wrong way, and it can tear your hand up. So...I'll "duke it out" with the snapping turtles here in Michigan while he dance the ocean dance with the sharks. Oh yeah, speaking of fishing.....he was once telling me how he likes fishing for a fish called "rooster fish". I had never heard of these, so I asked about them. He told me to "google it". I did. I found a website to a gay bar And as a prank, gave him the link to it. He fell for it.....hook, line, and sinker. (nice little play on the fishing terminology ) Oh yes, his reaction to that was priceless.
Of course, he likes to tease me about my playing games on Pogo. It's a fun site, I like some of the games on there. He's not into computer games, likes his fishing. Oh yeah, that reminds me...we also have this ongoing "argument" about who rules in hockey. He just doesn't get it...the Wings rule. In the last 10 years, they have been in 10 Stanley Cup playoffs, and won 8 of those games. He likes the Hawks, and I can't remember when they were last in the playoffs. Ok, I give them credit for this year, they are doing good. But that is because for a big part of this season, some of the Wings better players were on the injury list, so they weren't doing so hot this year. Hey, can't win them all. Gotta give the other teams a chance ya know. But c'mon, Detroit IS Hockey Town, and the Wings kick butt. Any hockey fan knows that.
So, that's a little bit about a friend of mine. He's the one who dared me to do a blog on him. It's all in fun, and I'm sure he will show up later to defend his Hawks.
