As most of you know our little Stormy girl (Ladybootscooter) has a son in the Army. As of Wed. he will be leaving to head to Iraq..............a hard thing for a mother to do is to send her child off to war.........hard for any of us to send loved ones off to Iraq..........Please keep Stormy, her son, and the rest of her family in your thoughts and prayers...........

I want to take this time to thank her son for his service to our Country and although I don't think I can put into words how I feel about his service...........perhaps Ray Stevens could do it for me so much better..........

So Stormy...............this is for your son..........Thank You

I love you Stormy girl...........I am here whenever you need to talk and please know that you and yours will be in my thoughts and prayers until J's safe return.....

Thank you for posting this Dayna!

Stormy, you are in our thoughts and prayers asking that you have the strength to endure this seperation from your son, and it will only be temporary!! And tons of love, thoughts and prayer go out to your safe for a safe trip, and a safe and happy return when that time comes! God will be watching over him!!

To you both for your strength

Yes it is rough to see an offspring off into harm's way, especially when a person is divorced and one's life is channeled into them. My heart and prayers go out to parents, particularly mothers, and to all of our men and women serving. She is not the only one either.

You know my prayers and wishes are with you always Stormy. May your son come home strong and brave and his mothers tears be joyous ones

Stormy, you know that you and J have my prayers and best wishes.. until he returns safely.

And Yes, do tell him we appreciate him and what he is doing for us.
His Momma raised a fine young man....

And for those who didn't know the other day was Stormy's B-day.
And even though I spoke with her on the phone with full intentions of wishing her the best one....It slipped my mind as we were gabbing.
Sorry, Sweetie...
Happy Belated B-Day!!!!!

Thanks Dayna, and all of ya'll for the kind caring words and support. I'm actually holding up pretty well this time. They've bumped his orders 5 times now. So I'm getting rather used to the feelings of fear and tension, only to have them keep him stateside for a while longer. However I noted today that the holdover times are getting shorter and shorter. The first one was 4 months, then two months, then one month, this past one was three weeks and then he was due to ship out today, but was bumped until Wednesday. I finally begged him to not say anything to me until he's actually climbing on the plane! But of course that didn't happen and we've been talking daily for several hours at a time (one reason you haven't seen me around much lately) He assures me he'll be fine it's a quiet F.O.B. he's headed to and he'll see me in August. Until then, I take comfort knowing he's in the prayers and thoughts of so many good people. ya'll!
