"Charmed" meets "Marvel Comics" with a strong "R" rating. That was my impression when proofreading the manuscript to my first published novel, "Astral Force Rising". It's the first installment in a series of six books. Intrigued?
Synopsis:
A Wiccan High Priestess finds a prophecy that describes an all-powerful evil which will be set into motion when a powerful man, Leo Gardasian, discovers the Tree of Knowledge, described in the book of Genesis. Gardasian will become powerful enough to command Heaven and Earth, leaving the Gods of every known religion powerless to stop him.
Enter Astral Force, a band of Magickal heroes charged with the salvation of every thing that is holy. Throw in a huge time loop and some rather confusing temporal mechanics, and you have a wild rollercoaster ride of super powers and shocking revelations regarding the origins of the universe and our purpose here.
Will Astral Force prevail on behalf of Gods and men alike, or are we doomed to lose the battle known as Armageddon?!

My question is this? Will this series gain any popularity, or will it crash and burn?
Any thoughts?

Sunshine- Of course, this kind of thing isn't going to be for everyone. We all have different tastes and opinions. Thank you for sharing yours. As for me, my thinking is just the opposite. If it's too real, I have to put it down. I usually read to escape from the mega overdose of reality that I'm subjected to every day. If I don't, I'll go completely bonkers!
Frank- You're absolutely right. This is not a forum for advertising. The only problem is that I have absolutely no budget, so I have to rely on social networking to get the word out. Cheap? of course. Desperate? Maybe. But it's all I have. But that's not why I'm here. I just thought I'd bring it up once to let people know what I was up to. Now on to other, more relevant subjects...

My comment sounded rude. I didn't mean it to come out that way. I guess I should say, in my own opinion, I wouldn't care for it.
I was never one into Marvel or Charmed. Neither would appeal to me. But, I'm sure would appeal to others.

I know what you meant, Sunshine. I can respect a woman who speaks her mind. I look forward to hearing more of your opinions. Besides, I can let a little rudeness slide, if it's coming from a cutie like you.

Every pagan knows that Loki and Eris will foul up any plan by either the good or the bad guys.. so.. I'm not sure I see where you are trying to go with this.
