Have you noticed that cigarettes are burning out on their own? It used to be that you could put a smoke in the ash tray horizontal and it would burn perfectly, or even hold it in your hand for a moment and it'd be fine. Now, the son-of-a-bitches burn out.
Obviously the manufacturers of cigarettes don't realize that when you have to relight a smoke it tastes like shit.
Why didn't they tell us about this new "stab". Damn government. Not only do they raise the prices on our smokes right and left but now their trying to burn us out.
FUCK THEM!!

Maybe so people would not put down a cigarette, forget about it and start a fire which burns down the house? That used to be a major cause of house fires and apartment fires.

Yeah, they made it safer alright....most of mine, a HUGE red hot coal falls off all on it's own. Fire safer, my eye.

Supossed to be fire saftey. They do taste different and they suck. If I could quit smoking I would but I have enough to worry about at the moment. At least need to keep my smokes. Sometimes you can get the normal ones. Not sure where, but my brother in law gets them and he sometimes lets me have a few packs.

I posted a blog on this last year. More and more states are requiring them to reduce fires when the cigarette is lit but unattended.

There area few dumb people that need fire safe cigs but I am damn tired of them going out while driving then I have to deal with lighting it again. I agree they have gotten overkill and now the damn things barely burn at all

I saw a news report on that a few months back. They are supposed to be "fire safe" or something like that. Too many house/apartment fires starting from people smoking, falling asleep with lit cigarettes and then fires start. The "experts" feel with the slower burn, that if a smoker falls asleep with a lit cigarette, it will "go out" before a fire can start.

I am glad you posted this. I thought about it a few weeks back when my cigarettes started doing exactly what you are talking about. I thought there was something wrong with me. The Iranians that sell me the cigarettes, at my favorite fast stop grocery told me about it, but I didn't understand what they said. They made it sound like if I put my cigs close to my cell phone it would stop working. I was completely confused and went on my merry way. When the cigs stopped burning I knew something was going on, but I didnt know what. I feel like a dumbass, but ther ya go...I admitted it and am still confused...cause no one really told us...wtf??? but ok...safety is best.... ...I just admitted to being a dumbass...ha!
