Thank You Obama!!

We just got attacked by our foreign enemy Al-Qaeda and what did we do?

We treated the Islamic Terrorist like he stole a pack of cigarettes from Wal-Mart.

We gave him his Miranda Rights and he asked for a lawyer.

ATTENTION DUMB ASS DEMOCRATS -- WE ARE FIGHTING A WAR WITH A FOREIGN ENEMY THAT WANTS EVERY AMERICAN DEAD

ISLAMIC TERRORISTS – WORDS OUR MUSLIM PRESIDENT CAN NOT UTTER

Now, instead of being able to find out who the other Islamic Terrorists are that trained with this killer, we get to wait to get attacked again.

Guess what else – Janet Napolitano our Homeland Security chief that OBLAHBLAHBLABH picked says the system worked!!!

The system worked? Because they sent someone to stupid to ignite the bomb correctly it worked??

This guy took enough explosives on the plane to kill 260+ people in the air, and who knows how many of us in the Detroit area would of died when pieces of the plane came down on our homes???

The system worked?? The TERRORISTS own father went into the US Embassy to report they lost contact with him and they fear he is about to attack the USA.

The system worked?

They forgot to add him to the TERROR WATCH LIST so he could not board a plane to the USA.

The system worked??

Obama’s Administration gave this Terrorist a Visa to come to the USA that Great Britain and other countries denied!!

Don’t ya feel great that the Democrats are keeping us safe now?

Wonder how much this trial is going to cost the USA? How come the hypocrites in the Democrat Party are not bitching about this money?????

I need to add that they woke our Moron President up from his sleep to tell him that the Liberals in Europe gave him the Nobel Peace Prize for doing nothing, but we get attacked by Al-Qaeda and they wait 3 hours too tell the Pretend President…

What a group of clowns we have in power…

The BIG QUESTION is, who was that "Sharp-dressed man who aided terror suspect Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab onto plane without pass?"

Was this "sharp dressed man" really Obama???
Get real

Lori and Kurt Haskell said they were sitting on the ground near their boarding gate in Amsterdam, which is when they saw Mutallab approach the gate with an unidentified man.

While Mutallab was poorly dressed, his friend was dressed in an expensive suit, Haskell said. He says the suited man asked ticket agents whether Mutallab could board without a passport. “The guy said, 'He's from Sudan and we do this all the time.'”

Mutallab is Nigerian. Haskell believes the man may have been trying to garner sympathy for Mutallab's lack of documents by portraying him as a Sudanese refugee.

The ticket agent referred Mutallab and his companion to her manager down the hall, and Haskell didn't see Mutallab again until after he tried to detonate an explosive on the plane.

The ones that are in denial about what is going on are the ones that scare me.

Yeah some of the info is inaccurate, but that is what the liberal media was putting out there to start with. Now the media is saying other stuff. Who knows what is fact and what is fiction. The media evidently has no clue, they just print what they think is going to sell. It would be nice if the media could get the facts correct before they run with a story.

Just remember, Obama may be president, but he has very little power - the real power is in the Cabinet and Senate. Remember, neither of the men boarded here in the USA.

Dec 29 @ 10:26AM
If Obama is responsible for this guy boarding a plane from the Netherlands wouldn't that make Bush responsible for all the 9/11 terrorists who boarded planes IN our country? Can't have it both ways. This guy boarded in another country. Would you suggest we stop planes in mid air and search everyone on the plane? Yes we are at war with these people. Yeah you read the guy his rights and follow all the rules because more than likely he will be tried in a US court and who wants some slick lawyer getting him off because they can prove his rights were violated in some way. You follow the rules and send the guy to prison. You do not leave any loopholes that can be used against you in court. What I am tired of is kneejerk reactions from people. The person to blame is the person who let him through security in the Netherlands which is not a part of the USA the last time I checked. They need full body scanners at the airports worldwide and if people refuse to go through it then strip search them. Otherwise you are not going to catch every misguided fool with a cause out there who wants to blow up a plane.

They need full body scanners at the airports worldwide

They're availabe and so are the detectors for explosives as well! But, where are they... sitting in warehouses in major countries around the world, including the U.S.??

Why hasn't this technology been deployed yet- they've been around for several years now!! Why is it that Western countries, are so lax in getting proper measures in place to protect people- theirs and others?? It's politics, pure and simple! The stupidity of politicians is beyond belief on the one hand and understandable on the other when you consider, IMO, that all of the chaos going on in the world, is generated by politicians, to justify their existence in the first place and at the expense of the unknowing citizen(s) no matter what country they're from- take it or leave it!

The previous administrations in our country, should have taken their boxing gloves off a long time ago and have at it with terrorists- fight them on their own terms- fight fire, with fire and stop this 'politically correct' bull shit! You want to put all this stuff going on to rest? Take it to the politicians- they are the crux of the problem(s)- world wide! We can deal with our politicians, if people get pissed off enough! To date, I haven't seen the anger yet, that is needed to deal with our politicians and straighten their asses out!

All our politicians in the past right up to our new president, have been dancing around the bushes- I personally feel the way our politicians have been handling our current state of affairs, is criminal and should be dealt with likewise!

Bureau of Transportation statistics...

Over the past decade, according to BTS, there have been 99,320,309 commercial airline departures that either originated or landed within the United States. Dividing by six, we get one terrorist incident per 16,553,385 departures.

These departures flew a collective 69,415,786,000 miles. That means there has been one terrorist incident per 11,569,297,667 miles flown. This distance is equivalent to 1,459,664 trips around the diameter of the Earth, 24,218 round trips to the Moon, or two round trips to Neptune.

Assuming an average airborne speed of 425 miles per hour, these airplanes were aloft for a total of 163,331,261 hours. Therefore, there has been one terrorist incident per 27,221,877 hours airborne. This can also be expressed as one incident per 1,134,245 days airborne, or one incident per 3,105 years airborne.

There were a total of 674 passengers, not counting crew or the terrorists themselves, on the flights on which these incidents occurred. By contrast, there have been 7,015,630,000 passenger enplanements over the past decade. Therefore, the odds of being on given departure which is the subject of a terrorist incident have been 1 in 10,408,947 over the past decade. By contrast, the odds of being struck by lightning in a given year are about 1 in 500,000. This means that you could board 20 flights per year and still be less likely to be the subject of an attempted terrorist attack than to be struck by lightning.

Again, no editorializing (for now). These are just the numbers.

Kinda' blows the theory that Obama caused anything

Some of you people frighten me because you actually believe all of this.

What frightens me is that some people don't. I don't know what it's going to take to get your heads out of the sand. Sadly when another attack is successful, those very same ostrich's will be the ones to cry the loudest about the lack of vigilence and the ineffectiveness of our government to protect us.
Obama called it an act of "an isolated extremist" in his press conference. Same thing with Major Hassan at Fort Hood. And we just sit here waiting for the other shoe to drop. Hell, it won't happen to us, certainly not to me. I'm safe, I don't live in New York, Los Angeles, even Detroit. BOOM!
Currently they're testing the DNA on the device to see if there are any traces of other DNA which would lead to the credibility of a broader conspiracy. Does it really matter?
I agree with 'el gato' in that our politicians impede rather then help our Intelligence Services. We just need to let them do their job, not have them fettered by grandstanding politicians crying for disclosure of their methods. They are our first line of defense, not some Liberal political hack.
In case anyone hasn't noticed, Obama's attempts at 'glasnost' towards our buddies across the pond isn't working. Despite the bowing, the kissing of hands and ass the level of criticism of our country has increased rather then decreased.
They hated Bush, he scared them. They aren't showing much love for Obama, or should I say respect. After all if we have a problem we can always just sit down and discuss it like gentleman.

When the father of the Terrorist goes to the American Embassy and says his son is Al-Qaeda and tells them the plane and its destination and they do nothing about it...

That is where I blame Oblahblahblah and his minions.

How is it Liberals conveniently forget that the 9-1-1 attackers were in the country before Bush was in office practicing and preparing bringing the planes done.

How do Liberals forget it was Klinton's people that said the FBI and Secret Service could not share information on the terrorists??

How do Liberals ignore the fact that Klinton was offered Osama Bin Laden 3-4x and Klinton did nothing.. Just like Klinton ignored the fact Al-Qaeda was at war with us for his entire 8 years as the Blow Job President...

Bureau of Transportation statistics...

A number (at least 10 that I glanced over) of articles appeared using the Bureau of Transportation statistics, one in particular being Nate Silver, a writer for the 'democraticeunderground.com'. Not surprisingly every article merely quoted the numbers and left the editorializing to maybe three sentences at best. Our resident guru came up with a clear concise cognizant conclusion/sentence of his own......I think.

Oh well, enough said, I'm missing the latest gem on "bubble wrap".

If you think 9/11 was not planned under Bush then it would stand to reason that this one was not planned under Obama. Oh and that would have made it planned under let me think oh yeah Bush. You cannot reasonably twist everything around to be the fault of liberals or your arguments are going to fall apart. I know how the right likes to blame everything on liberals but after a time they are going to have to face the facts that you stop making sense after a time. I might suggest that people stop getting their politics from talk show host that make their living by twisting events to whatever will make them their next dollar.

I have never seen a President attacked so maniciously by his own country before.could it be because he is Black? Racist of this era always use illogical actions by others to justify their hatred towards our president. As much as this president has done and is trying to do for the people of the United States ie..trying to get health care to millions of people, stopping credit card companies from rippin us off, stopping greedy executives and others from not paying their taxes on money hidden in Swiss bank accounts. All of this in his first term.If you just dont like President obama cause he is Black,be a man and just say so.Dont hide your true hate.He is trying to help the people more than President bush did thats for sure!!!!!!!!!!!! AND NOBODY BLAMED PRESIDENT BUSH FOR THE TERRORIST BOARDING NOT ONE BUT 3 PLANES ON US SOIL 911,WHY CAUSE HE IS WHITE?????????? HMMMMM MAKES ONE WONDER HUH AND PEOPLE DIEDDURING THIS ATTACK.
JustAnAvatar

Dec 30 @ 8:25AM
You got that right, Blackcock. Anyone can disagree on policy, and I don't think that policy disagreement stems from race. But with Obama you see outright lies and hatred that go way beyond policy disputes.

Note that in this blog, El Gato repeats the claim that Obama is a Muslim President, which is supported by no evidence whatsoever, and nobody here corrected it. The people who claim he was born in Kenya persist, despite the complete debunking of that piece of idiocy.

Yeah, the Obama's a Muslim theory, the Obama was born in Kenya theory - those are happening because he's black, and a whole lotta crackers can't accept that a majority of Americans elected an African American to be our leader.
surv6969

Dec 30 @ 8:58AM
I hate to get involved in these political discussions but Blackcock9 your opinion about why most people have a problem with Obama are just that an opinion. Most people I know don't like his policies not him.

To say
I have never seen a President attacked so maniciously by his own country before.
you must not remember the last president.

I do seem to remember that quite a few of the people Obama appointed to position had failed to pay their taxes. If that would have been me or even you not paying thousands of dollars in taxes we would be being prosecuted.

In getting health care through he is doing what he promised not to do when he was campaigning, passing a bill that is full of pork and not being bipartisan.

Health care reform is needed but not in this way. What is wrong with tackling it in smaller parts? Fix the health insurance in one part, the medical industry in another part, the uninsured in another part, and so on. they should get it right and it should not be a partisan bill. Giving a State 100 billion dollars to get their vote and another State is exempt from the medicare cuts all the other States are going to get to get their vote, etc etc etc. it is just not right to make those kind of deals to get a pork laden bill passed. The company my brother works for says if the health care bill passes they will no longer provide health insurance for any of their employees because according to their accountants the companies cost under the bill that just past would increase more than what the cost of paying the fines would be.

As for the terrorist acts it is not any one Presidents fault that they occur but it could be their policies that allow the terrorist act to happen. The most recent attact that failed was in no way Obama's fault just like 9/11 wasn't Bush's fault.

I don't know about maniciously or even maliciously but talking to someone who's sole premise is that Obama isn't liked because he's black is like talking to the east end of a horse heading west. Playing the race card isn't even an opinion, just muddled thought.

Oh, now, DC, once again I'm afraid I'm going to have to help you out in understanding the intent behind the comments you read.

See, in the comment I was responding to, you took pains to point out to Blackcock that he typed "manicious" instead of "malicious." I was inspired by your generosity.

So inspired, in fact, that I felt compelled to repay that favor on BC's behalf, and point out that at the same time you were so intent on helping BC to overcome his shortcomings, you (despite your god-like abilities) misspelled "argument."

Don't feel bad - it's a really hard word. I'm sure that if a mental giant like you can't spell it right, nobody else on AMD can either.

I must insist that if you wish to continue in that role and recieve my instruction please don't associate me with the local drones of Pervia.

I believe it's too late for that, Pervianus. The association has already been created by the hours and hours of time you spend in Pervia, night after night, week after week. The good citizens of Pervia are loudly chanting your name in unison... "Pervi - anus! Pervi - anus!" They love you, man.
