Well does anyone have a real story that makes you smile? Something that happened over Christmas? I do My parents have been divorced for over 40 years for the past 20 some we all celebrate the holiday together at my older sisters house. We have dinner play a few games and visit

Everyone was asking how I've been filling my time and I replied about repairing the quilts granny made. Bragging now it has 3 generations that have worked on the one I favor the most. It is a patchwork quilt. Well mom proceeds to tell me her mom didn't make that one. I was shocked I said oh yeah she did! Mom goes no pap and Delia made it. My dad looks at mom and goes what quilt? Mom said the one that was on our bed (now dad's girlfriend is looking at dad and mom like they meant recently) So me and mom proceed to describe the quilt and dad couldn't believe I had it. You see his Dad passed away in 81. So we were all talking about how lucky I am the two quilts that are on my bed are from both of my grandparents.

Now tell me about a story that happened either this holiday or in the past. Lets make everyone smile!!

for miss purity's birthday/lisa i have a history of pi, by petr beckmann.
a story of the number pi. and all about it from a to z. so very mathematical.
should help the quilting bees. it is thanks to three birds. the california
quail, the osprey, and the american robin. i just took them from my card
deck of birds. by the sierra club. i bought them in encinitas at the health
food store down there. at the north end of the borders bookstore shopping center.
they have all kinds of good stuff, even the garden eatin chips, like blue chips.
funny. so if any lisa's wanna stop by and get their presents, its kool.
i have to leave at 8 am to go to fry's electronics early before the mob
gets there. and try and find treasure island, the one that has miss purity's
birthday in it. jim hawkins goes to miss purity's birthday even though
he was kidnapped by pirates at birth held for ransom and his father
robert newton is wanted always on treasure island. but its the best
pirate story of all, all about miss purity's birthday. and whose parents
are they really. maybe jim hawkins is their kid after all, who knows.
your guess is as good as mine. welcome guests. stay as long as you like.
i may just deed you the house, and go a roving. i so hate cleaning house. TAXES

My best friend ( god bless him ) got our kids a Wii for Christmas. Sadly after bills , hubby and I couldn't do it and he did. I told him not to but he never listens to me. So, hubby and I decided to make a game out of it with the kids and it was the last gift they had to open. I did clues and made the kids run around the house searching for this present. I always make the boys put thier bookbags in the hall closet after school, so the last clue was this :
" Have you been a good boy this year? Cleaned up your toys and put away your gear? You might want to check just one last time... is there a bookbag there? "

( we geared this more to the boys cause oldest daughter said she didn't want a Wii )

Don't you know, they looked inside the bookbags !! They went all over finding different bookbags and looking inside. They were even in the hall closet and didn't see the gift. Hubby had hidden it inside a coat hanging up and the kids didn't notice it. The 6 yr old goes " I can't find it in my bookbag. " Finally they found the present, unwrapped it.

Hubby had wrapped the Wii box but not the actualy Wii. So the box was empty. They get the box open and the boys go " where is the next clue? "

I never thought to put a clue in the empty box lol. We were laughing at them, it was funny especially watching them try to guess where the next clue was and running around like mad children.

For the first time since hubby became ill 11 years ago I decided to put him on tape Christmas morning. I don't know why I chose this Christmas to do it but I did and it turned out so darn cute that I posted it on my Facebook page.

I am glad I did, who know's how many more Holidays he will be around .
