The Pope being pushed down? Why? I hadn't seen that. Haven't seen the news much and local news channels are so...local. I keep forgetting I have all those big news channels...MSNBC and well...those others... Sometimes I wonder why I even have a TV....

I spent a few minutes trying to access the video to no avail. But here is the story.

Many news outlets will pay for videos. Especially, now that people have smart phones, events can be recorded. Many will auction it off ala Ebay. Some like CNN pay $500.00 for a clip they use and utilize amateur reporters. I especially recall this during the hurricanes. Local stations do it also as do most news outlets. It is quite common as there are now so many people in position technologically to record the event on their smart phones.
