My plans for Christmas this year:
I got to work. But hey, the holiday pay is great, and on top of that, I'll be getting 6 days in this week. Works for me!
After work, I'll head home, let the monsters......errr..dogs out for a few. Put down some fresh food and water for the cats, change out of my work uniform, let Sasha sneak back in, put her and the Christmas presents in the van, let the other dogs in, and then head over to my parents for a few hours. There we will exchange gifts, have dinner, and then we will spend time catching up. It's usually a quiet and enjoyable get together. Then I'll make my Christmas call to my best friend, wish her and her family Merry Christmas, and then we will plot our New Years Eve party.
Anyone else want to share their plans....the more the merrier.

You are looking at it beyond calling a few people. I have no family around here and most of my friends are spending the day with their family.

Well after the last few phone calls looks like I may have to get yet another goose. LOL This seems to be the Christmas that is going to snowball out of control. I am just wondering how my mother is going to handle having a house full of people she has never met. Just do not have the heart for any of these kids to go without a place to go for the holidays because I know where most of them are going to be next year this time. Including my oldest son and possibly my youngest as well.

To my daughter's place to see her and my grand kids on the 26th! No where until about the 9th of January to see other family about 2 hours from here! I don't go anywhere before, on or the next day after New Years!
That is a very nice gesture on your part RJ!

Fix a Christmas breakfast for hubby: bisquits and gravy which are a treat for him and not on his regular diet...he opens his gifts (still trying to figure out if he will kill the Gia Pet) then falls asleep for a couple hours.
Morning shift volunteer at the homless shelter for 3 hours.
Call family(brothers/sisters) out of state, call friends out of state, call friends out of area, call daughter & family out or area, listen to my grandboys whoop and holler over the gifts I sent to them
I always head to my boss's (friend as well) house for Christmas dinner and bring home a heaping plate for hubby..he is content with this...he eats and falls asleep again.
I then drop by a local friends house for after dinner cocktails and some laughs.
End of day.

DKW, my son and I will get out of bed sometime tomorrow morning, I'll start coffee and tea.we'll do the gift thing. THe guys will then start a video game marathon. While I cook breakfast, and then after I get the kitchen organized, start dinner as well, we eat Late afternoon and I'm making standing rib roast so it's not an all day cooking affair.
I may take a nap, or a long bath or both. And I spend a little time on the computer, It's going to be a good day any way we have it because I'm with the two best men in all the world. What could be better than that?
