!@#$%^& Weather!!! posted 12/14/2009 3:23:29 PM | 0 kudos what's this?     report abuse   DangerousCurves999 Last night around 10pm on was a chance to see the Geminids meteorite shower, supposedly the best one of the year, and the viewing weather was perfect all evening with clear skies in a starry night. So I get all bundled up to go drive away from the city lights and freeze my arse off in the car for a few hours when a huge fog bank rolls in and I can't see 200 yards in front of me. So much for warmer weather... it clouds my sky up. I missed the Aurora Borealis a couple of weeks ago because it clouded over. I will sit out in the cold for hours and watch that. It is beautiful and I always think there should be classical music playing as the lights dance across the night skies. 	I would imagine that in alaska as in montana if you drive far enough up a mountain you'll get above the fog and or cloud cover. Next time make it a date and make love under those beautiful stars! Plus you can add your own music at that point!

	Well normally we have cold clear skies about now. But it's been in the low 40's and no sign of snow for weeks. When it's warm like that we get the sea fog.. ack!! And only one mountain you can drive up on Kodiak Island. It's not high enough to get above the clouds. Besides this time of year it's not much more than a 4WD goat track.

	Sorry the weather spoiled your sight from such a beautiful view... 40 degree weather....geez, you're warmer than we have been lately. Except for today... that doesn't seem quite fair..... lol

	Yes a lot of people assume we have extreme weather all the time up here. In truth it is normally cold and clear with bad weather only during a few storms. We don't get anywhere near the terrible weather like ice storms and snow in the northern and north eastern states get. I live on Kodiak Island where it rarely gets below zero except maybe during a bad January storm for a couple of days. Mostly the temps are around 25-35F all winter. We still have no snow on the ground here. We had 2 snowfalls at the beginning of November but that has long since melted. We had a frost yesterday that was pretty until it all melted. Kids are still running around in T-shirts outside.

	My gawd...its fucking freezing in Calgary...minus 40 last night and -50 in Edmonton...been that way for a week. I can't even go outside in my panties anymore...

	It's OK Borty... I'm sending you battery operated thermal warming panties. They should give you a "hot seat" Warning.... Don't leave them on high too long as this may cause scorching to pubic hair. Also be wary of passing gas while panties are set on high and this may cause ignition of the gasses and you may become one of the men who have made it to the moon.
