Last night around 10pm on was a chance to see the Geminids meteorite shower, supposedly the best one of the year, and the viewing weather was perfect all evening with clear skies in a starry night.
So I get all bundled up to go drive away from the city lights and freeze my arse off in the car for a few hours when a huge fog bank rolls in and I can't see 200 yards in front of me.
So much for warmer weather... it clouds my sky up. I missed the Aurora Borealis a couple of weeks ago because it clouded over. I will sit out in the cold for hours and watch that. It is beautiful and I always think there should be classical music playing as the lights dance across the night skies. We don't get it this far south that often so I am bummed when the weather hides it from me.
