have been in the woods for the past 2 months. like literally. got really tired of the rat race decided to visit some of my youth. that is hikin in the woods and revisting some of the old camp sites.
like wow. things have changed in 45 years.
of course i got turned around a few times, but after awhile and re-orienting myself, i got back on the right track. although the changes where vast they where not unwelcome.
my natural rock wall with the cold spring comin out of it was still there, but had been modified by the rangers or some such person. to make it safer for the hikers in general.
a little further down it seems that some of the property has been sold off to individuals and of course i had to seek permission to cross, but no big deal, i was allowed.
long story short it only took me 58 days to hike a little over 100 miles to revisit some of the old haunts. very peaceful without any major problems except for a pesky raccoon who decided to follow and adopt the idea that i would be his free lunch room for the hike.
only had 3 people to encounter, blessedly for only short periods of time. no real revelations of life or anything of the nature, just being alone and gettin by bymyself.
already startin to miss it but have to put out a few fires that have cropped up in my absence. so i guess you will hear from me some more.
till later
as always, love peace, and enjoy
