Know your all sleeping but have news on the goose! It's has done so well at the rescue that I will be picking it up this weekend and releasing it! If anyone reads this do me a favor and tell every one you know that goes fishing please pick up your fishing line and any time your at a park where people fish and you feel like a walk. Walk around the lake and look for line as it is almost always there. To many lazy fisherman out there! Not only the geese but almost any animal unfortunate enough to get this line wrapped around them suffer terribly as the line just gets more wrapped and more tight over time! Just pitiful! Any way this one this time made it!

That's wonderful!

Yes, too many are lazy and leave junk when they fish not caring if it harms the wildlife. My Dad was always a responsible fisherman as he never left line laying around, he took care of it. He never let us kids litter either, we were always told to take care of our trash.

In Florida pelicans end up like that a lot

Good to hear the goose made it. And to all fellow sportmen out there don't just stop at fishing line, I know it sucks to pick up others trash but its a lot worse to have to look at it! Pass it on to our kids clean and as beautiful as you remember it.

Unfortunately fisherman are some of the worst polluters of our waterways and wetlands. And sadly, its the Captains of the charter boats that all too often fail to admonish the offenders, but in fact sometimes they set standards for the practices on the boat. All too often I've had to pull hooks out of kids feet because of just what you mentioned, fisherman who cut their lines leaving the hooks and lines in the water. Most notably surf fisherman are the biggest offenders.
