Yep, I decided it just isn't going to happen. And I tried.

Yep, tried to rake up the leaves in the backyard. And between the dogs and the high winds today, was a futile attempt at best. So I gave in and started tossing leaves around, watching the dogs have a blast chasing them. So, instead of getting frustrated, I made a game out of it. Now the dogs are all crashed out, tired from their busy day of leaf chasing.

Maybe I'll do like Aly said in my other blog and just take the lawn mower out and use it to chop them up. Now, should I let the dogs run in the backyard with me? Nah!! Last time I tried that, they chased the lawn mower and tried biting the tires.

Mow them down. My dogs are afraid of the lawn mower, but it is not nearly as much of a source of terror as the vacuum cleaner.

My German Shepherd will chase and bite at the vacuum cleaner. But the other 4 will run in terror from it. Yet they are the same dogs that will chase, bite, and bark at a lawn mower.

Sounds like you had fun! It is just too hard to rake leaves when it is windy. I wait till all the leaves are down and after a light rain and then I rake. It is so much easier. I can't mow them because there is just too much ground cover in my yard. It would kill it. I have no grass, just ivy and vinca minor. My yard is all hide except for a small area in my backyard where the driveway is. there I plant banana trees and elephant ears and wandering jew. Makes for a beautiful combination. ...sorry...I just rambled. Been working in the yard all afternoon...I had fun, but there is still alot to do.
It's nice to see the pups pooped, isn't it!

Oh Bruce...my pup Fiona was in love with my Kirby. She slept with it and threw her ball at it when I vacuumed...and she humped it...ya gotta love a pup that humps the vacuum cleaner!

I don't get it Night? Why are you in Montana? ...oh, ha...Fiona didn't care where she was, as long as she had a vacuum cleaner to sleep with. I gave her to my Mom for about a year after my Mom died and she slept in the closet with my Mom's vacuum whole time she was there????? ... ...Of course she loves us and slept with us too, but when she saw an opening to be with her V...she was on it! ...poor little Fiona has been gone for 5 years...I loved her so!
