Mascots posted 11/3/2009 2:09:10 PM | 0 kudos what's this?     report abuse   ThePurpleProphet I know not all of us are sports fans, but I am. I love sports, especially football. As a fan of sports I watch a lot of games on t.v. and I've seen a lot of mascots. Some are cool others unusual. Remember the San Diego Chicken? Is it still around? I think that is one of the most famous mascot. Another big one is the Phillie Finatic which looks pretty stupid to me. As a Buckeye fan I'm forced to go with Brutus. A buckeye headed man/woman depending on the year. The Viking for the Vikings is pretty cool though. What mascots do you like or dislike and why? Which mascot doesn't fit the team? 	Most of the colleges have pretty good ones. Yes, the San Diego Chicken is still around but I don't think he does Padres game anymore. He just freelances. I don't like the team, but the coolest one coming to mind is the USC Trojan riding the magnificent white stallion. The Dallas Cowboys have this faggy mascot that looks like a kid and a real pansy. The Penn State lion, Michigan State Spartan, OSU Buckeye and Notre Dame mascot aren't too good either. I think he is called Mr. Baseball but that Cincinnati Reds mascot in the baseball uniform with a giant baseball head is really lame. One of the funniest things I saw last season was that mascot riding on the back of a motorized cart being driven by what I think was a fox. He mistakenly stepped off of the cart while it was racing around the warning track. He hit his head on the warning track and it came off bouncing and rolling for at least 50 feet. I laughed my ass off. It was on YouTube for like one day before being pulled. Did you see it?
