you ever seen the lord of the rings movies? Hobbit feet tend to have rather tough and leathery soles and be rather hairy. Though my feet lack the hair, the soles of my feet are rather tough due to years of walking around barefoot. I don't have small dainty feet

Well, I have some time off till Tuesday. Usually I work from sunday night through early Thursday morning. So me taking control of this shouldn't be too much trouble. But whomever we decide on I will throw my support that way. Just so all of you know up front, I won't be able to supply any prizes to the winners if I'm chosen. lol But I would like to add that I like the idea I came up with for having 8 catagories and the blog titles for them, and 4 nominations in each catagory. But I won't have any problems with anyone else taking control of it.

I don't care if someone else wants to take this over but I think - out of respect for cutecarrie6969 - nothing should be changed. This is her baby and she put thought and energy into getting it going (and did a good job, if you ask me). To change the format or rules but keep the contest going would be rude.
I'm not sure biases come into play here - it was to be by popular vote:
Its simple, nominate the best blog for each category by name and author, or just author for the Blogger of the year category. You can either nominate in the comments section or by sending me a message in my inbox. Campaigning is allowed and the only rules are listed below. After two weeks, the nominating process will end, I’ll tally up the results based on popular vote and the top five vote getters in each category will be put into a head to head vote with each other, and that will last until the end of the month. The winners will be announced as soon as I have all of the votes tallied up after the polls are closed.

Sxze, I do respect Carrie. I mean no dissrespect to her by simply tweeking it somewhat, and I actually thought coming up with a few more catagories was actually a very good idea. I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes. I just threw it out there because I thought it was a very good idea. If you feel like I am then I will back off and leave it as is and let someone else take care of the job.

No Straddle - I don't think you're being disrespectful for tossing out ideas, sweetie; I was just thinking about how I'd feel if I started organizing something, had to stop for (what I assume are very) good reasons, only to have someone come in and change it. I guess I'm not opposed to more categories, but I do think the general format and rules should apply. But again, these are just my thoughts. I'm also quite fine to wait until she gets back, or go with whatever everyone else decides.

The rules would stay the same of course. There's so much ground to cover with blogs in different areas to where I thought the 5 catagories didn't cover. It also meant that only 5 winners would come out on top, why not add a little more winners in 3 more catagories? The only change there would be was 3 more catagories, that's it.

Geez, ladiedarkstarr, I had emalied you a bit ago telling you that I still consider you a friend, but that I didn't appreciate with how you came in the way you did and went about jumping to upstage me with your latest blog while I found out overnight that Carrie wasn't able to complete this awards. As the night went on I was trying to get responses about this and started getting some good ideas about this and it took all night to get to this point and making this happen with a few more catagories. It was almost at that point where a few of us settled on some things, but still waiting for other feedback from others concerning this. When I emailed you it was meant to between us and no one else, but you went public with this. I don't want this now since it's been tainted and the thought of losing a friend over. If you want it feel free to take it, it's yours.

I didn't realize you'd been working on it all night. The blog that WAS up (is now taken down) was something I did this morning, before my son was up. I hadn't posted it then, b/c he got me distracted. I just hit the post button when Icame back. Didn't see all the comments added afterward.
Take it or leave it. I'm done with the blogs, sensativites, and drama on the site. I'll just keep to myself again.

Guys, I feel like I can't continue this in good faith like I wanted to as before. This has gotten a little ugly now with what's just happend. All I had a problem with was how ladiedarkstarr went about this, that's all. I didn't think it would cause this many problems talking with her privately with this. Like I stated before, I consider her a friend but just didn't appreciate how she went about doing this after spending some time on this all night with getting some feedback after I found out about Carrie. After the time I put into this it was coming together, and after something like all these that's happened, who wouldn't be just a little upset? I did not jump all over her, Frankly I'm surprised that it's gotten messy. I don't want to lose a friend over this, and yeah, that bothers me to think I have. It's just not worth losing a friend(s) over.

Raven is innocent in this. I talked with Raven much earlier and asked her if she had a chance to read my blog and she hadn't at that time, and after she did she emailed me back while LadieDarkStarr and I were still arguing a little and debating this whole mess. I told Raven to post her comment on my blog with what she sent me in her email. If anyone is too blame it's me for asking her to do this and getting invloved.

Well Hi everybody, I see smiles....k...good...., you what is funny about the online chatting and emails, I have found that the more we communicate on the net, the more people quit communicating in real life, now I believe that people take emails and blogs wrong sometimes, its really easy to do with out the tone of your voice and voice influction. so be careful before you jump on a defensive side of your writing bacause you might, just might have taken the comment out of text.
so find out before the shit spirals out of control cause its easy to esculate before you find out the "I did not meen that" comment.

Cutecarrie still hasn't opened my email with the nominations I sent her. She really wanted to do it and my opinion is to let her do it out of respect for her. She told Dom that real life was busy for her so we were informed that she hasn't abandoned the project. It's just a busy time of year for a lot of people and I think we should honor that.
