Ok..this really wasn't meant as a means of "attacking" anyone. I took slight offense to the snottiness of

I will not turn auto enable on. Seems some of the "regs" feel entitled to commenting on others blogs. I served this country and do not feel so entitled.
.

As I went on to state in that blog, I'm not a patient person, so waiting for approval doesn't sit with me. Does not mean that I think the person should set their blogs to auto approval. Their blog, they can do whatever they want with it.

The offense I took was in the poster's comment about us regulars feeling "entitled" to comment on others blogs as I do not feel I'm entitled to comment on anyone's blog. If I see a blog that catches my attention, then yes, I may want to comment, and, on occasion, I have commented on the "wait for approval" blogs.

If I remember correctly, this person had published a blog a while back stating they would not set comments to auto approval because of some troubles with comments and such on myspace(?) and therefore doesn't want a repeat here. As some like to say, "My blog, my rules", we should respect that this person doesn't want to set their comments to auto approval.

But, as to feeling "entitled" to commenting on others blogs.....all I've got to say is this: if you're going to put it out there, there are going to be those who may or may not want to comment. And it has nothing to do with feeling "entitled".

It wasn't your blog....it was the comments in it that struck me the wrong way. There is one person in particular that I cannot stand...who always has to throw in their shitty ass 2 cents and the fact that this person is entertained on it really pisses me off

I am quite sure that same person (and probably a few others) made some sort of rude comment in his blog and it pissed him off, so he fired off that blog. I'm not saying I agree with what he wrote....I really don't care one way or the other, but if certain members would be a little nicer, then other people wouldn't respond that way.

I agree. Several misuses of words on that topic were used. I think the word "inclined" might have been a better usage rather than entitled. Some regs feel inclined to comment.

I served this country and do not feel so entitled.
One, serving has no point here. And the better word should have been "obligated."

Entitled: 1. To give a name or title to.
2. To furnish with a right or claim to something:

Now, just an observation, but it rather looks to me like some very bad grammar, rather than an attack on the "regs."

That's my view as fairly neutral as I can possibly be.

Now my bone of contention on that blog would be that once again we have a soapbox "Free Speech" advocate comment on there. It is truly amazing how many people think free speech gives you the right to be able to say ANYthing you wish.

WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!! As someone else who also served, in TWO branches, defending said free speech....look it up next time before you go spouting it off a soapbox. And no, this is neither an attack. more of a

And my personal nickel...I blog comment wherever the hell I feel like. I might comment on every blog posted in a day or just one, or none for days at a time. Depends on my mood, the topic, and a hundred other factors. I am never "obligated" to blog on anyones blog, and no one should take offense when I don't, it's far from anything personal.

But that's just me.

I found the guy's attitude insulting. I get so tired of all of the defensive attitudes and the "I can say anything I want so I will." mentality. Usually with those types it comes down to, "Nobody gives a fuck what you say, so why even bother?"

I just figured both of his blogs [that I saw posted anyway] were the usual blogs that won't let you comment in it so, I just ignored them!

I can go with this. I try to post comments on all of my friends blogs on here when I can when they post blogs, but there are times when some of the blogs don't get my interest enough to where I'm not sure what to say in my comment and just don't bother with a comment. Also, it would depend on what kind of mood I'm in. It's also hard for me to sit still after a length of time in front of the comp. and just have to move around more.
