I have decided to use my blog to post the odd thoughts that I get so that potential matches can read and understand me better. I will not be enabling auto approve so those who just go around adding their own opinions to others blogs sorry.

Even if they find a way to disable img and other embedding I will not turn auto enable on. Seems some of the "regs" feel entitled to commenting on others blogs. I served this country and do not feel so entitled. Freedom of speach exhists that does not give the right to attach your comments to me and my profile.

I will continue to read and decide if a comment merits including in MY blog. If that bothers you go to someone elses profile.

And that's your right to do so. Not everyone wants to participate here and your choice not to shouldn't concern others. But if you want respect in this choice then you should give it...no need to be so grumpy about it.

Good luck.

Yeah I was a bit grumpy when I posted it. Not because of their comments but because deleting my old blogs gave me a negative blog count and it took three posted blogs to fix it. I deleted a double posted one and now my count is at zero. Odd eh?

Don't sweat the blog count.

Zero is a good place to start.

No one here EVER gets grumpy. Besides, isn't "Grumpy" one of the seven dwarfs and a Disney character?

Free communication and input/output is one of the workable tenets of blogland and infers inclusion of all.

Even though some of our neighbors may sometimes be grumpy.

At this point I am just glad the blog is working again.

Actually, I think that is a wonderful purpose. Some folks around here get worked up about getting newbies to understand the need to conform as follows:
* Turn auto-approve on
* Follow AMD's Terms of Service
* Read all the jokes that have been already posted so you don;t accidentally post a repeat
* Post something interesting that entertains the rest of us

Frankly, I look at alot of the the blogs that folks post around here with the same disdain as I do the cut and paste stuff I get in e-Mail. I may read those blogs and enjoy the jokes the same way I read emails from . But I also sometimes read the ads and the junk mail that the postman delivers.

I think blogs should be personal and more like a journal than graffiti or bait for a flame war.

Posting and reading blogs and comments is one of the best ways to get to know people and them to come to know you.

I see that you've inadvertently stirred up a batch of summin.. sorry bout that man. Keep on doin what you want, no matter what anyone thinks of it. In the grand scheme? It's all just words on a page til you let it be your problem.

PS.. I had Grumpy last weekend.. how was it you ask? Short.

Word I agree. However, the way people approached me made me think that perhaps some of them are worth not knowing. Why would I want such angry people posting their thoughts on something attached to my profile without making sure: I am not being attacked personally, or it is something globally offensive that I would not want attached to my profile.

Now I do not think the angry people that posted the other day are the types to do such things. However, with how difficult it is to sign-up and join. (bit of sarcasm sorry couldn't help it) I am not willing to end up playing damage control.

As for getting to know others through their blog, I only view much less comment on the blogs of people I have been conversing in email for a bit. It would be almost like jumping in on a half overheard conversation with strangers on the street. Too awkward.

So I will make this compromise. Once I am comfortable with the people on here a bit more I will rethink this. Lets just hope the more combustible personalities on here can be nice long enough to get to know them.

Well, you certainly caused a bit of a brouhaha didn't you? I see both sides of this issue and since it's your blog, you should do what you want. You might not have as many comments as some of the other blogs do, but then you will have peace of mind which is what matters most to you. There are a lot of good people in here, so hopefully you will be more trusting in the future.

Welcome to Blog Land aka Pervia (I hate this name)

I will try Kit, though it may take me a bit longer than some wish. Would have taken less time had there been less anger expressed on my choice.

I will keep working on it though.

Do what I do....stick around and blog and comment just to irritate those that don't "like" you.

Don't mind the angry people.....there seems to be a lot around here lately for some reason. Maybe they are pissed because they aren't getting laid, so they take it out on others.

Do what you want and blog what you want and FUCK those that don't like it

I am sure that everyone can think of specific people and, to a greater extent, certain types of people would simply evaporate into this air. But one must always keep that old glass full versus half empty perspective in mind along with not taking things too personally. Besides, with the block button, it is like playing poker or fishing in that you can throw back the ones that you don't want!
