I look at my calender and realize today is September 16 and that Fall is only 6 days away. Where did Summer go? We didn't have a really hot Summer here, I actually liked the weather this Summer. It was warm and comfortable. Didn't run the ac much at all....maybe 6 or 7 times. Now it's going on Fall, and damn!! Leaves on the tree in my front yard are already changing and falling. The trees in the backyard still have green leaves..but one can tell it's a matter of time before their color change starts too.

I don't mind Fall too much...I love the color of the leaves as they change, and the crispness of the morning air...I just don't like what follows it.....being cold, shoveling the driveway...and avoiding the drivers who still think it's NASCAR season on a roadway covered in snow and ice. And the heating bills are going to be tough again this year.

It was a mild Summer......wonder if it's too much to hope for that we get a mild Winter?

We have been having hotter weather now than we did most of the summer........they said this was one of the hottest falls for MN since the 1800s. At this point I will take the heat because I know we will soon be in the deep cold tundra soon........

By our standards in Texas, it was a mild summer here also. It still is. We have been in the high seventies/low eighties for over a week with a lot of much needed rain that has tended to be steady and gentle. I am quite contented with all of this and very glad that I do not have to deal with winter weather that many of you have to contend with.

Yeah, it sucks. I love fall, but I hate the season that comes after that. I have such a hard time crawling out of my warm bed in the winter to get up for work. Not to mention winter is just damn depressing....and then there are the holidays

I think I ran my AC twice this electric bill was only like $26 for July....that has never happened!

I had my first taste of Autumn today. 16 c..60 f.

Take care sis,

Our hot weather got a late start this year, but when it hit (June) it turned into one of the hottest on record. But after weeks of 100 to 115 temperatures today is forecast to be only 99. Soon it will be a nippy 80's and then OMG! highs of only 70's

Seriously, once the days are no higher than 95-99 we consider the season to be changing and much more comfortable.

Ugh, our summer has been exceedingly hot. I say bring the fall on.

It has been hot and humid here all summer. I can't wait for winter. Then again I love winter and snow and wish all winters were like when I lived up north. Spent a year living in Watertown at one point in the 80s and loved the cold weather and all the snow. In NYC I could not wait for the snow to go play in Central Park. What I can't stand is hot weather where all you clothes are sticking to you when you have been outside for five minutes.

Fall is a very nice season here the weather becomes very comfortable. Its been a nomal hot summer and still not cooling off to much. Today's high is supposed to be 91

Sep 16 @ 3:05PM
well we haven't had much of a summer here, but that seems to be the norm for us as of late. Altough the fall is a nice, comfortable time of year..I do wish summer would last a bit longer.

Sep 16 @ 4:05PM
I'd take Fall/Autumn anyday over any of the other seasons!!

Well... we all can rejoice knowing that we missed the last ice age by about 10,000/15,000 years ago and the next one isn't due for about another 40,000 years! Doesn't that make you feel better now??

Hmmmm Michigan must not have gotten as cold as Minnesota last winter.................

It was cold enough that's for sure- lots of snow too! But moving from Michigan to Minnesota let's say, is like moving from the fridge to the freezer!

Why is it no matter where we are geographically located or how good the weather is we invariabaly want it to be different than what it is?

I know most of us appreciate good weather. Just as WofW mentioned, the rain and cooler temps in the DFW area is wonderful right now. Of course, I don't do cold worth a s**t, so you'll hear me grumble when it gets into the 50s. I know, I'm a hot house plant, but moving back to the mainland after living in the tropics for several years ruined me.

The leaves here are changing early. The weather has been perfect for me this last week and it's extending into next the mid seventies. I prefer light jacket fall and don't mind winter until the end of January. I can usually adjust my weather related attitude til the end of January...then I get cranky...

Yeah, it's been a cold summer here in Michigan. Well not just Michigan from what I hear... I'm actually enjoying it.
